How on earth that has been overturned is beyond belief. It was as easy a decision for the ref that I have saw in a long time.

The referee done a good job in difficult circumstances, as usual though, the mags make all the noise when they are bitter and feeling hard done by.

I can't believe somebody thinks the FA panel thought it wasn't even a sending off by their wording in a statement. <laugh>

I think we are both going to have a good crack at relegation but others will drop past us.

I know you might not think we are too great but we murdered West Ham 2-2 and humped Spurs 0-1. Sometimes a team turns up and sometimes they don't, but I think our current team is too strong to get relegated, as is yours.

The reason he gave six fouls against them in the first five minutes was because he was swayed by them, HUH !!!!!! even for a Newcastle supporter

Even your beloved Shearer admits it was a stonewall penalty which does not seem to be in dispute. Then you look at the fact that Fletcher was also the last man, and you have to come to the conclusion that the ref called it right. I have never saw a decision so clear cut being overturned before and this is not a comment to attract nibbles.

Shearer is not a ref, he may of played the game, but he's not a ref

Fletcher doesn't play for the toon as far as I'm aware

    lets get this straight
you don't know the Laws of Association Football
the Laws change every year and the refs have several meetings per season to discuss these type of events

there is NO law which states 'last man' have a look you won't find it
there is, what the refs call 'DOGSO' which is Denying an Obvious Goal Scoring Opportunity

example :- a player could stand on the line and defend that line
a player from opposite team shoots at the opposite side of the goal
where a player who is six yards out stops the ball with his hand, he is not last man, the guy on the line is
so does that mean the guy on the line gets sent off, and the one who handles stays on ? - no
it's the player who has Denied an Obvious Goal Scoring Opportunity

It was not obvious that Fletcher was going to get the ball hence why the Three Wise Men from the FA turned it over
    hope this helps <ok>

if you want to learn about the offside law give me a shout as that is changing day by day <laugh>

Oh my good god! The whole world hates Newcastle! The "obvious error" means it wasn't a goal scoring opportunity you donut! Still would've been 1-0 at half time and your lovely tippy tippy toothless football probably would've continued into the second half and we'd have won anyway

I can't believe the mackems are using Shearer who they rant about how **** he is every week, as the reasoning that it was a sending off. Priceless..

Mistakes happen, its cost 3 points but at least some common sense has prevailed in rectifying what mistakes they can.

Which ever way you look at it he was denied a goal scoring opportunity by a cynical foul, because being the last man he was about to get passed the keeper. I stand by my statement that this is a ludicrous decision to overturn this.
