Don't know if there's any budding left back talent in the dev squad Bluey, but probably Declan was the best of the bunch.

Bennett and Richards should be OK for that spot on the left. Just don't play Peltier over there even in an emergency.

Can't remember the game but he got hopelessly out of position and kept wandering into midfield giving his winger acres of space.
 
Hopefully Colin saw enough of him while he was there to know he's worth it.

So that's just under half the kitty gone. More depending on the add ons which hopefully only kick in if we get promoted.

Mentioned him a couple of weeks back when he became a free agent.

Would be a Warnock type of player but would come at high cost - I'm sure someone in the Prem will offer him more than we'd be prepared to lay out.

Not getting any younger either, but I'd take him in place Whitts at the moment.

As much as I like Gunnar as a player and love his commitment and think he would be a GREAT captain for us, everyone has their price and if the price was right, I'd sell Gunnar if it meant getting in a couple of decent players in his place.
 
No problem with playing Adam in place of Gunnar if he went, but then we'd need someone else as well unless the wide men can create the openings. Mendes-Laing, Kadeem Harris and Callum Patterson could do that.

I see Ward as being someone a bit like Tony Watt - he'd need to be put in through the middle or feed off a target man from out wide.

All very interesting which way Warnock is going to stack it. <ok>

The system in the main will be a 433 / 451.

Gunner needs to sign a new deal or be sold. Hopefully he signs up.

Ralls and Gunner have their spots nailed down in the centre. Id expect 1 more signing to slot in there with them.

1 more quality central midfielder and id me more than happy that we are ready to go and challenge from the off.

I know Warnock is a big fan of the 4231 or used to be anyway so i'd say that we'd line up with gunnar and ralls in the middle and adam just in behind the striker be that zohore or ward with one of the plethora of wingers we have now on either side
 
Read today that discussions on a new contract should start with gunnar when he gets back from honeymoon.
Also that Colin wants him to play further forward.
 
I'm underwhelmed with our signings.

NW said he had his sights on 4-5 players. Question is are these the same as he's brought in it does he have a few aces up his sleeve yet to come?

Midfield looks somewhat thin.

Or is it dependent on more exits eg Pilks, Noone, Huws, Connell etc?

As it stands city's squad look good for top 10 but not top 6.
