Barry Tiger heard a rumour 2/3 weeks ago that a Prem club were going to make an offer for Sol. I thought it would be West Brom if they sold Jonny Evans. Just got the second word wrong.

However with Connolly still out for a while that would leave us light at the back. I very much hope the report is incorrect.

 

I think it would have to be in the £5m mark before Col looked at it seriously.

 

That would be OK - we would only have find an extra mill to pay for Madine.

 

Grabban gone to villa.

 

Like I said, Money Grabban waiting for a better offer. No surprise.

In some respects Madine is a better long term deal at 27 years old compared to Grabban's 30.

Don't believe we are paying £6m up front . £3m more likely plus add-ons. Assuming he signs will he play v Bolton on 13/2? No reason why not unless part of deal.

 

Eh? Why wouldn’t he play v Bolton if City sign him. Only a loan deal could prevent it.

Just a thought Nin. Strange things happen and depends how the sale/purchase contract is worded. May well be barking up the wrong tree.

 

Hope not true. Ward is not a player I like. One of those who stirs things up then backs off to let others sort out the mess. In short he is a little ****.

However if Tomlin is not going to be played best swap him for someone who may have a greater involvement. Just not Ward!!!

 

Was talk of Tomlin going back to Peterborough in exchange for Madison - now that I liked.

Just checked Wiki. Ward aged 31 so not one for the future and at 5ft 5ins has to play off main striker. 1 in 4 goal ratio not bad but on loan at Burton last season is hardly a positive reference.

 

Ward is a nasty piece of work but in a blue shirt he’d give more than Tomlin has done. Doesn’t he live in East Midlands?

Has Madine signed yet? Read it’s 2m with unbelievably 4m if promoted.

 

No news on BBC Transfers page not. Nothing on Grabban to Villa either.

BBC now confirm Money Grabban loaned to Villa.

 

Bit disappointed it's Marine and not Grabban. However, Madine has a better record than anyone on our books this season.....

Let's face it, he's better than nothing and compared to Ravell, Lambert and a few others may prove OK.

Just hope that rumoured £6 mill is in total with add ons etc.

Now, just bring Dave Marshall back home!!
