Never thought Madine was that good.

Always liked Martin. Can look a bit lazy on times but has a habit of getting into the right places at the right time.

Not sure about young Marriott at this level - probably the cheapest option.

Grabban can do it and he's proved it - wouldn't mind him at all but of the four I'd take Martin at this stage of the season.

 

Grabban then Martin.

 

Still think a quality centre mid should be the priority - even, as it appears, they are hard to come by.

 

Evening folks.... VERY long time since I've posted but the lure was too strong to stay away any longer (plus I need something to get my mind off work!! ).

On the striker front (putting money aside) I'd go for Grabban and then Martin... either would suit us I reckon.

Where is Jordon Mutch these days? Last I saw was a loan at Reading.
I'd happily take him back. Always thought of him as a poor man's Ya Ya Toure with the way he could carry the ball forward and break the midfield lines!

The Man City Cup money should be spent on a decent strikers wages.

 

We need a striker. As pacey and strong as Big Ken is, he's not a natural goal scorer. He needs someone to bounce off of. I stand by my statement of we need to play two strikers if Ken is playing.

 

Get Grujic and Grabban or Martin and that's business done for January other than 1 or 2 out.

 

Grujic feels a very smart bit of business to me and most papers are reporting it's all but done.

He can get around the pitch (as any Klopp midfielder has to) and is higher quality than most Championship midfielders on the ball.

Him and Grabbon would give the squad a real boost. We'll be there or thereabouts come May if we can add both of them

 

Hefty cost mind (loan fee + ALL his wages) so well done to the club IF this comes off.

 

He has to pay us £20k a week match fees though. We wash his shirt and he gets sausage and mash in the clubhouse after games.

 

If he plays well.

 

Just talking to a liverpool season ticket holder in the office. He rates him and repeated what's been written on WoL about him. Big rangy lad who isnt afraid to put his foot in, can pick a pass and is willing to put his laces through the ball.
Just need to see him holding the shirt now.

 

Looks like I was given the right city, the right playing position and the right nationality (if you're old enough to remember Yugoslavia that is ) - but the wrong club.

Whether Besic from Everton or Grujic from Pool - I'd take either right now.
