He'd do his analysis in cryptic riddles. Might get old fast.

Both the beeb and ITV need to clear out all the 'expert' pundits.

Can only really think of Adrian Chiles as entertaining of the whole bunch (including Dixon who bores me.) TBH I can't decide whether Andy Townsend's aggression and his inability not to use plurals or Lawrenson's attempts to be a clever 'lad' annoy me more.

Murray is a good presenter but it doesn't work with football. Chapman is the oposite end as he is THE most boring (not his fault) presenter on the whole of TV!!!

Interseting name that I had forgotten was James Richardson. How could I forget him from Football Italia? Great shout and should replace Lineker too. While we are at it can Peter Brackley replace the excrutiatingly over excitable Jonathon pearce as well.

Like Godders I don't watch the analysis. My TV is also my PC's screen so I watch the highlights of each game and then put the PC on when the analysis is on.

Do still have the sound on though just as now when I hear on newsnight that Cameron will be giving us a referendum in 2017/18 should the Torys get a majority. Yippee at last :)

James Richardson presents the guardian football weekly podcast and European paper review, and is excellent on both.

Thought both were good on Radio 1 and seemed to have a kind of fan like passion for football and their teams. Now they are presenting on TV I like the "down the pub" debate and banter they try to create with the pundits. I thought this was a bit of a refreshing change as with the time MOTD have to talk about each match there isn't time for in depth statistical punidtry. MOTD with Hansen et al is always the same. They highlight some poor defending briefly and thats about it. For that type of in depth analysis I will tend to tune into Goals on Sunday or Monday Night Football.

Disappointed. I like Colin Murray. He brings an informed fan's view and excitement. Mark Chapman is fine too. It's the old pundits, plus Shearer, that bore the living daylights out of me.

Sorry to be a prick but England haven't played Slovakia at a major tournament before.

For the sake of balance, here is a hatchet job on Murray from the Telegraph: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...nd-irrelevant-he-is-a-very-bad-presenter.html

Seems a bit personal, seeing as the writer in question was once threatened with legal action by Murray himself (the merits of which I will leave to you to decide), but the point about him scoring cheap points against Pat Nevin is one I raised previously in this thread. Shame he doesn't mention Hanson who was equally culpable in my view.
