I'd say Camp and the Chelsea loanee are poor. As for Fletcher, all my Boro mates say he's poor and he's done nothing to make me think other. The other two have been injured so can't say. Based on the results since they arrived it proves what I'm saying, I say he could and should have done much better with the money he had to spend.
Did he actually spend any money? It boils down to a) are they better than you already had b) was there better available. You clearly think there was better available he should have got, out of interest who?
Given how long he had been in the job and knowing, I hope, where we needed to improve, he should have found better. He hasn't improved us.
Did anyone better come in? Or are you accusing Coleman of ignoring better players to bring worse ones in? You accusing him of sabotage? Clearly we got the best we can on TINY wage budget.
Now go and find out their wages, find out who was available on those wages and find out if they're were interested in coming and share all. Cause that's what it will take to give your points any credibility. You need to lay down an understanding of our finance before I can take your argument seriously. It's a factor you ignore and a lack of factor which proves you're just scapegoating imo
He doesn't know. He doesn't seem to grasp how skint we are, he doesn't seem to grasp that we started this window with no wage budget. He doesn't seem to grasp in youngsters loans, yes the basic is often covered by parent clubs, but the bonus are specific to the loan deal and covered by the loaning club, he doesn't seem to grasp we had no money to allow us any room to maneuver in all the areas mentioned. It's clear to anyone That Grayson, with his awful budget had a by far greater budget than Coleman. He's had it in for Cookie from day one. While everybody is pulling together, this bloke is pulling away as follows his agenda. Starting to question if he's even a fan.
Just not blinkered . Whatever the budget, I'm disappointed with the players he signed on the budget he had, however much it was.
So Coleman is working for nothing then if we have zero money ! There is a budget which ,as he says, he knew before he took the job, and was adequate to keep us up. He's spent it on as you say ****e. They are ****e and he signed them.
Cause we could only afford ****e, it's not rocket science. Being only able to afford ****e doesn't magically become enough to afford a higher quality if another manager was in charge, cause they'd be only be able to afford ****e too. So stop being blinkered focusing on the manager when the problem is budget which has stemmed off the way the club is being run.
Brian, I quite like the bloke,( Mick Buxton springs to mind) just don't like his tactics or his signings, guess I'm in the minority but its my opinion. I don't rate him . If he proves me wrong and keeps us up great, I think he'll have us relegated in 6 games. I have no confidence in him. As I say, just my opinion.
You are of course entitled to your opinion and I'm not going to disagree regarding how the players he signed have looked so far. The sadness is that Sunderland are paying far more money in wages for better players to go and play for other clubs (Khazri et al), but there's nothing can be done about that. The players who came in haven't had much of a chance yet (I can't overtly accuse you of being knee-jerk as there are Newcastle fans writing off Slimani and he hasn't even kicked a ball for us yet) so Camp and Fletcher in particular need more time to gel before being lambasted in my opinion. Where I agree is that it looks like Sunderland are going down (though hope is not lost), where I hugely disagree is the idea that Coleman has taken you down. Short has taken you down. Last year. This year and notably in the transfer windows. Honestly, I'm not sure what Short was expecting to happen. P.S. I'd hate to hear what you say about people you don't like...
I love the Club, have done for nearly 50 years. It's frustrating as this is one of the worst teams I've seen. I base my judgement on how McCarthy, and Smith turned us around with a limited budget, you could put Reid in there. Plus it's been like a morgue on here this week, I wanted to know if others thoughts on Coleman.
You're defo in the minority. No matter how much you push it you'll not get a following. People can see the bigger picture now. New buyer will see new resources, then people will judge him. In the mean time people know the problem and it ain't Coleman.
That's true, we missed out on Martin who's a decent player at this level and probably others. There's bugger all Coleman and Bain could do to attract better players, we have no money to offer them, everyone knows we're rubbish and even at our peak it wasn't a popular area of the country for players to move to. Nightmare set of problems when it came to the last transfer window.
Poor excuses, Blackburn and Wigan are in shot but would hammer our lot. They bought better than he did. If players don't improve your squad only a poor manager would sign them. One simple question, have they improved us ?
