He should have been before unless injuries prevented his inclusion. Shame he is injury prone as he looks decent with great energy
Over the last 10 years the majority of our key players with quality have been either injury prone, lazy, inconsistent, twats or nonces. Some a mixture of all 5.
You're a bit old in the tooth to get carried away so early mate. I wouldnt get too carried away after the first few games. It's still going to be a long season so settle down for the long haul. And stay off the caffeine so early in the day
Agree about his lack of success at club level but his international involvement and successes may have given him the skills to make him savvy enough to cope with the challenges at Sunderland. His passion for the for the job stands out
True but JW has great energy - not really seen in other midfield players But hopeful for a new era of success
He comes across brilliantly doesn’t he? Seems the sort you’d get along with but know in no uncertain teams he’s the gaffer. I’d imagine here’s some respect there for his recent record with Wales as well. We can but hope.
I wonder if Coleman is thinking 'if only I'd waited a few more days' I could imagine Pulis doing a good job with Wales actually.
I don’t think so. When you listen to the full press conference ‘47,000 fans are still there, they just aren’t coming’ ‘I didn’t want to go through career not managing a proper big football club’. He managed Fulham of course a good club, maybe similar size to WBA. Absolutely they are a better club than us right now but they will never be as big. I genuinely think he’d have come here. If he gets it right here the rewards and the status will be ridiculous, he’s a sharp bloke, he sees that you can tell.
I agree here's me acting like a youngster,-should know better at my age after 50+ years of emotional trauma - I hope I'm not back on earth after Tuesday evening. Still it's a Rarebit of negotiation by Baines to make this appt happen imo
Good choice in my opinion. Has a presence about him and seems a man of integrity (in footy anyway). Impresssive press conference yesterday.
To be fair we played some good football against Villa. The 2 young lads in midfield were always trying to be available and were not afraid to receive the ball in difficult positions. We did look low on confidence though, especially after the first goal went in, but to come back from 2 down and get a goal does show something. A few weeks ago it would have been 4-0. I have high hopes for Coleman, but then again I am always an optimist.
