Anyway, this Chrisy Coleman fella. Didn't want him but i'll back him. Is this the terrace chant for him or what?
He must be getting getting a geet big flipping pay rise to join our circus. His stock couldn't have been any higher at the moment, may have even sneaked himself a premier league job, so why else would he risk his managerial future?
Ha. Not very popular these days, it's getting turned into an Italian shortly. Keeping the bar open though
If true I am pleased about this as a manager who can get Wales over achieving can only be good for us. I think (hope) he can sort our underachieving club and take us back up. Good luck to him.
Personally I think this may just take off. He hasnt got a great win ratio but we do have the nucleus of a decent team there. If he can get the bad boys on side I can see us storming up this league. Deffo think he was one of the better options and from what I have seen and read the vast majority seem to want to get behind and back him. More importantly he seems to handle the media well. Hopefully our negative publicity should turn and the media will give us a break.
A big part of CC coming is down to the negotiating done by Baines - a massive plus for me and he must have been involved in the bargain buy player investment under Grayson -
As i mentioned in another thread, he comes across as a no nonsense guy that shows a lot of passion, might be just what we need, sort out the defence and it could just work. I knew whoever we got in I wouldn't be too excited, we are not in a position to hire some big name (even though that means nothing as we all know) . Bottom line is he is here now so we have to back him and hope and pray that he can do something. Oh and I heard Bale is defo coming in January, he's Coleman's love child.. Dunno why there's so much negativity, I always thought Coleman was a very likeable bloke, and did an excellent job at Fulham on a very limited budget and a great job with Wales. I'd say that it's a bit of a coup for Sunderland, results will tell though of course.
Yeah I think Bain's done well again, considering our position. I'm not convinced Coleman will be a success but then I wouldn't have been convinced of that if Mourinho had been appointed either. Coleman does strike me as about as good as we could have got.
The record of ex International managers taking on club sides, is not good, I cannot think of a single sucess in recent years tbh. Is this a game changer who knows. Hope he gets more support than Grayson if not we will struggle big time.
