    First two Coldplay albums were incredible and they are a brilliant live band, but I tried to get into their new album and I really don't rate it it's too overproduced and there's no real substance unlike the earlier albums. X&Y was alright too I guess considering the direction they took with it, but I think they lost their way around Viva la Vida

    Can't bear Coldplay if I'm honest, first two albums were great but nothing since. They've done nothing compared to Blur or Radiohead and their music will be largely forgotten in ten years time or so. Just another U2 imo, churning out crowd-pleasing music-by-numbers for years to come.

    While we're on the subject, Kasabian's new album is dogshit too. Nicely produced but that's about it.

    Problem I find with Coldplay is Chris Martin. I cant stand the guy. He tries to come across, as just a normal chap, doing what he loves. Yet, he calls his child Apple, and then prances around on stage in a French Revolution outfit.

    Certainly nothing 'normal' about that Chris.

    I do like Paradise though...its grown on me

    EDIT: Also, the band seemingly have copied John Squire's idea of having multi coloured/splat guitars <doh>

    <laugh> Careful, he's just going to start the tired old Satriani rip off line and pay no attention to you when you remind him that everybody steals from everybody. Coldplay are a miserable excuse of a band though.

    They keep changing style every time they release a new album it's so annoying!
    Love Tom Meighan's voice and Days Are Forgotten, Rewired and Switchblade Smiles aren't that bad.

    I cant stand Kasabian! Awful excuse for a band. Only real decent song they did was L.S.F!

    Even, that looking back, was crap!

    There's only one thing worse then Coldplay. And that's U2. And Coldplay covering U2 songs at Glasto too...

    Snow Patrol are also pretty awful. Just a more depressing **** version of Coldplay.
