Tewkes - i used to live right opposite the Royal Armouries - however, it was prob a bit diff 20 years ago ! locals used to tell it was the red light district. One of my 'mates' whilst living and working in Leeds was Howard Marks, who lived opposite the Aire bar - love;y guy - hugely intelligent, but spaced out most of the time.Once found him stumbling around Leeds city centre at 930 on a tuesday morning, but a lovely guy.
Ye gods - Mr Nice! Now there's a man who's seen his fair share of life and smoked his fair share of weed. As for formerly being the Red Light district, that wouldn't surprise me at all.
Well I don't think we'll get a chance to go to Leeds next year the way they're playing and their fans in my office are talking... dead certs for relegation in their book!! In terms of prediction, I'll go 2-1 Addicks, with a BWP double.
Tough tough game, and not to ignore Acworth, Wordsworth is a very decent player and one worth dealing with closely. I do think that the U's will be disappointed with Saturdays draw and this will prove their chance to right the ship. I also think this will be our possible mess game, I'm going with 2-0 defeat littered with errors, which will be an important night in the making of this tea,s promotion challenge
2-1 defeat, sods law with Powell back on the touchline and it being Col U. We'll see, hope I'm wrong!
I'd deffo take a draw as Colchester are a pretty decent side and have strenghtened with the addition of winger Antonio from the Saints. My prediction is 1-1 with Stephens scoring. On another note Adam Smith the Tottenham full back on loan at Bournemouth last year has gone to MK Dons on a season long loan! Looks like MK Dons will be strong again this year.
Think it also shows we stopped interest. The club must be happy with Solly/Hughes/Francis(unless he leaves).
Agree to a certain degree Super as I think that if we really wanted Smith that much we'd have got him? I think that Francis not agreeing terms with Bournemouth was the final nail in that particualr coffin. I was merely pointing out that this division is getting stronger all the time with the calibre of player that keeps getting attracted to it. i for one am quite happy with that as it will make things a little more exciting.
Too close to call this one. We're playing some really nice attacking football so far this season but, just like so often last year, while creating loads of chances we're not converting them like we should. Wycombe should have been buried already 3-0 by the time they got their equaliser, on saturday! With you guys fast out of the blocks, would take a draw from this one. Col U rule ok!
I think there is commentary on BBC London tonight 94.9, for those of us bozos who aren't going Difficult to call because I have absolutely no idea as to Colchester's strengths. If we can get a win then all the positivity of the past few weeks will have further concrete evidence to back it up. I think there's still more to come from us, so I'm going for a 2-0, Hayes and BWP to score.
