Colchester have won their last three games, beating two top four sides in the process, the most notable victory away to table toppers Walsall. Tom Flanagan ex loanee with Gills many years ago has picked up an injury and will be unavailable...

The hosts biggest threat will come from Kyreece Lisbie, fourth leading scorer in our division and also Anderson sixth leading scorer. Colchester are on a roll whereas the Gills have managed three draws in three games. Potential for a draw I suppose...

Colchester 2-1 Gills (Lisbie, Anderson, Dack)

This is the only League Two game on Saturday due to the FA Cup 2nd round, so it is an early 12.30 kick off.

I remember watching the EFL Trophy match. 1 0 up, it should never have been, and a last-minute penalty to lose.
Not sure what we are about these days, form is so confusing. But we are still there, only 3 points to an automatic place. BUT we need to start showing some form, especially with the festive season run ahead.
Playing them again at home in 3 weeks, so halfway through the season.
Gaffer is now back on the touchline, and we actually scored more than 1 goal, but so many schoolboy errors, where was our defense for their first 2 goals?
I'm with the neighbours tomorrow, have a couple of pigs to dispatch and prepare chorizo and presunte for Christmas, so I won't be watching.
They seem to average a couple of goals a game and we just the 1

Them 2 v 1 us. Safe journey up the road to Essex lads
