Lads I'm all for us getting in a proper left winger. However, it doesn't look like its going to happen...! Believe me, I'd love it if it did.

The only point I'm making - and yes I agree, star of the future in CM - is that it must be better for him to play on the left, that not to play at all?

Given the choice between him on the bench with the odd game covering Catts' suspensions, or him playing every game at LM, I'd play him on the left.

Play him on the left if necessary mate but, you keep him out there and he'll get more and more pissed off and will want to leave. I'd rather we played him as CM cover, we all know Catts will be either banned or injured soon anyway so he should play enough to keep him happy and a Sunderland player.

Like many others I agree.. Would like to see us take a punt on scott sinclair at swansea. Only 22 and got 20 odd goals in the chapionship last season from the wing. I know he's untested at PL level but he's only young and that's a damn impressive record.. The championship is a very tough league. Looks to be the real deal and he's the only realistic option imo (johnson is not gonna happen).

On the subject of colback.. Think we should leave him in CM or nothing, he's no winger. Poeple are saying he won't get a look in with all our midfielders but surely that's the point of having such a large squad - the competition? As soon as gardner or catts' performances slip (or injuries / suspensions come into play) jack will get his chance and I'm sure when he does he'll grab it with both hands.. That is unless he is one of SB's first choice CMs, he would be for me I think..
