I saw that earlier on. Not like Celtic to defend the support. PS, the **** UEFA banner was the height of wit...that hit a 10k fine.
Yep, 10k for that so what should be the fine for a sectarian banner? I'd guess 15k knowing (but not comprehending) UEFA's previous.
Knowing UEFA they'll show leniency and at at the next game the entire stadium will just have to say 1 our father and 10 Hail Mary's
I watched videos showing: Celtic fans throwing bottles...against trams and into the middle of the square. That's enough for me to condem a bunch of pricks. Also, seen enough pics, treating dam square as a rubbish bin...disrespectful.
No one is denying it Pud, no one that i've seen but as I already said it is imposible to get the whole picture because both sides will have their own version of events. Some arseholes threw bottles it's ****ing pathetic and I have no sympathy with them whatsoever, same for anyone who gets done for assault, we can do without "Fans" like that. I've no doubt some Celtic fans went looking for trouble but once again the spotlight is being brought to bear on the WHOLE Celtic support and nary a word about the Ajax fans behaviour, it's as if they are the innocent party here, despite all evidence to the contrary.
Pud, if you saw these videos and they showed what you said then we have to condemn the fans throwing bottles ....trams and into the middle of the square . What I wonder is why and how did this come about. My problem is that for decades now Celtic fans have travelled annually to different Countries and no reports of any behaviour like what you seen . If we want to preserve the Celtic fans good reputation we have to get to the source of what happened on Wednesday night and if necessary weed out those who cause trouble .
Badly worded second post...had a few shandies at a funeral n was worse for wear. It was a general comment ...meant if people defend the actions if some arseholes who ruin it for the majority, then your card bad as them.

It appears that it might be a tad premature to place so much emphasis on the Behaviour of the Celtic fans . Independent observers don't put our fans in as bad a light as some of our fans do. It isn't surprising as some of our own, seem to be the harshest critic , of our manager, players and fans are Celtic forum posters many armchair Supporters .
I was in Amsterdam in 1981 when Mccluskey scored last min , tram after game I was on every window got broken , there in 2001 trouble as well just accept Ajax are scum
It is easy to sit on your arse and watch a couple of minutes of film and start condemning your own fans ( if that is your mindset ) . There is just the possibility that perhaps the fans who were seen throwing the bottles etc that were strewn all over the square, saw fellow fans been brutally attacked by groups of hooligans or police who had came out of similar vehicles moments earlier . Before we post on an open forum , we should check our facts . I don't know what all happened on Wednesday night, and I don't think anyone knows . So I hate giving fodder to our Hun friends who are particularly delighted with the contributions of some. It is great and correct to point out when our fans have spoiled our good reputations , but it is equally important not to jump to conclusions .
