Only recently got back into gaming.

Played Modern Warfare 2 and loved it what are the best and worst COD games for the campaigns?

Or any other games I missed out on over the last 10 years.

Forgot to say i'm using an xbox.
 
Best for campaign was easily Call of Duty: MW, followed by MW2 then Black Ops. World at War may have got a mention but i am forever scarred by my assault on the Veteran campaign.

Im assuming you are into your First-person shooters, if so and you have an xbox the Halo series is a very good shout

Played Halo 3 which was good but was more impressed with MW2, also played Gears 1 & 2 both very cool. So the first MW is one to get then?

Definitely if you only want to play the story, it's pointless buying it if you want to play online though..

While I admit it is a bit of a bitch to have to pay, the xbox live service is superior and safer to the PSN. With these games the campaign has become a mere side show to the main online multiplayer element. If you aren't playing online you are really missing out

Money is sucked up by 3 kids so may go online in the future but no chance at the moment.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare has been hacked online though on the Xbox, so I was going to say its pointless for him to buy MW if he wants to go online with it.

It is unplayable online, every lobby you go into is hacked and you either have unlimited grenade launchers or can teleport onto a roof or outside the map in the middle of the match.
