    I cant. They have Messi.

I think him and Messi could get in each others ways.

Are you suggesting Messi comes to us in a swap deal... Maybe if they add £10mil as well I'll think about it <whistle>

Suarez would be a wasted at Barca. Just like the likes of Sanchez, Fabregas & David Villa are.

Messi and Suarez in an attack would be like Gerrard and Lampard in a midfield.

One has to hold back so one will get wasted.

If anything, a club like Juventus are most likely to bid for Luis in summer, or Real if Ronaldo really wants out - no idea where he'd go though, no one can afford the transfer or wages apart from the clubs who he'd never go to - but Juve would probably offer 35mill tops, which'll be laughed out the boardroom (hopefully!).

Even for 50mill, who'd replace him? He's such a uniquely gifted player, we'd struggle to improve the team with 50mill and Suarez gone

Going by the summer Juve don't have much money. The fact the only striker they could get in the summer was Nicklas Bendtner speaks volumes about the money they've got.

It went from getting Van Persie & Suarez to just getting Suarez to getting Llorente and the quality of targets gradually declined until they actually signed a striker, and it was Bendtner <laugh>

Suarez is now one of the best players in the world imo...he WILL want CL football and rightly so.....How long was the contract he signed? I don't see him as the sulking Tevez type tbh, although I may be wrong. He may try to negotiate a move away but if we have 3 years or more on his deal, we'd be mad to let him go! We'd want at least another season to try to qualify for the CL....where his skills must surely be used one day! All the more reason to invest in the team......it's next year or never imo!

Good player but at 32? in the summer and after serious injury......no thanks. I'd take him on loan now though! <ok>

I think Rodgers has come out and said that he wants Coates out on loan rather than selling.

He's not looked too bad when he's played so I hope we keep him. As far as I can tell he's behind Carragher on sentiment only so next season he should be 3rd choice and get alot more games if Carra retires as expected. I think he was unlucky not to be given more of a chance at start of season, Skrtel was shocking first few games and very lucky not to be dropped. Loan rest of the season might do him good until then.

The same person who said that he had "just seen" Carroll storm off down the tunnel after being subbed. The man is a liar.

Was it? Good point then & fair enough!! Have to admit that he did infuriate me after the match when he said that he didn't see whether Suarez had hand-balled deliberately or not and then immediately asked if this would make him a more hated figure......despite not knowing the facts!!

He's a complete tool, I heard it myself yesterday it made my blood boil. I made a thread last season on his comment about Carroll and felt like a right idiot for posting it therefore I'm not his biggest fan.

Suarez has 4 and half yrs left on his deal

Suarez could have left for PSG or Juve in the summer, he didnt he stayed.I suspect theres ownly 2 teams Suarez would leave LFC for, Barca and Real
Barca already have a deal set up for Neymar, theyve already payed £10m euros to Santos, which they DONT get back if they dont buy him,Id be amazed if they dont buy Neymar
Real seem to be following Bale, theyve scouted him numerous times this season, hopefully thats who they go for in the summer

    1. coates will not be sold as he keeps suarez happy.

    2. henderson is a very good player who will make an impact. work ethic is huge.

    3. donwing and carroll were two huge errors and are the ONLY flops of dalglish AND comollo.

    4. suarez was mentioned already

    5. What about jose enrique? was injured but got fit and was immense.

    6. what about bellamy who lads were praising lavishly last year? only ever short term but did very well.

Wisdom is too good at full back and too mobile to go CB. he adds something there. Kelly can go cb for sure. Coates is needed but most of all he links to suzrez and helps us there.

Coates is potentially a CB in the Hypia mould. The only reason I can see for him going is if he has not settled on Merseyside.

He needs more match time to get used to the prem. so a loan seems the obvious option, but this will leave us short of CB cover only having Carragher and an injured Kelly.

At Newcastle we currently use Mike "he would probably be excellent in League 1" Williamson and have to watch as week after week he gets torn apart. Maybe Coates alongside fellow South American Colocinni for a while (who despite having his worst game for us at Anfield is actually a good player) to help learn his trade - think it would be a god deal all round (though generally I don't like loaning players to develop themfor other premiership teams our main priority for this season is now just to remain a Premiership team).

see the merits in that Haslam,

like or hope the club consider that if we was going to send him on loan, def needs prem experience.

dont think you are relegation material, but saying that a couple of seasons ago under hodge podge we looked like we was at one stage, Coates might work quite well with Colocinni, just hope from our point of view not to well, as he could be convinced to stay.
