Pretty sure that you are a "boo boy" then...
I don't boo, but I have no problem with people booing at the current state of affairs. I left the Leicester & Palace games early though.
Wouldn't we have seen improvement by now if booing and abuse would improve the players? The only thing fans can do is support the team. The board cannot be in doubt what the fans think, neither can the players. Point made, let's move on to being supporters (that used to be the alternative word for fans

Who said booing improves players? The only argument I've seen is that booing makes things worse. The board seem pretty oblivious to the situation, though they've acknowledged we're not doing well...it doesn't seem like they have a clue what to do about it. If they did then MP would be long gone.
I agree that fans need to make their feelings known. We have (including me) at the last few home games. Fans even ran onto the pitch after Palace so the players know we aren't happy with how things are going. And I agree that the players need to give us something to cheer about, but at the same time we have to now support them through a difficult period. You never know, if we really get behind them and drive them on things might pick up - the atmosphere when not toxic has been completely quiet since Puel first came in. If not, then at least we have tried even if the board seem incapable of trying to make a difference themselves!
It's easy to boo and create a toxic atmosphere, it's not really going to help now though and we've made our feelings known already. Look at Palace, they cheered all game and they are great at home too. They're in top 10 of the form table. Granted their manager is better, but we have a big part to play now.
When the players do good things on the pitch they are applauded and cheered, but after 12 months of the same mistakes being made - patience has rightly run out. Are fans supposed to cheer when we sit back with a 1-0 lead and end up drawing or losing? The only people who are going to change the negativity in the stadium is the players through improved performances, having a manager who is able to read a match and make necessary adjustments, and a board that know what they are doing.
The Palace fans were pretty quiet when we were in the lead. They only started to find their voice in the second half when it became clear only one team was going to score the next goal.
I know that booing and having a negative atmosphere isn't going to help, but ultimately it's only ever going to reflect what happens on the pitch. The atmosphere was quiet under Puel because again, there wasn't much in the way of entertainment or success.
They were booing 12 months ago and even st half time of the first game of last season. That worked.
Booing your team is utter ****e in my opinion, you said earlier nobody says it makes things better, so at best it makes things only stay the same. It certainly doesn’t help.

Some booing at half time after a poor first half isn't unusual at all (happens at virtually every club), the fans have a right to make their feelings known.
It doesn't help if you have a weak squad which we have, we clearly lack any sort of leader, on the pitch and off it. I remember the fans booing under Koeman & Pochettino at half time, but back then we had leadership on the pitch and with the manager and the team would usually come out and put in an improved performance.
I still think it’s **** and a sign of a poor supporter. That’s just my opinion though
I’m also pretty sure any improved performance was not down to the booing.
Let's boo the fans then.....though that might confuse the players. We'd need to find something distinctive to call out.
I don't boo myself, and usually don't condone it but by god everyone at the club deserves to hear it at the moment.
Exactly what I think. I won't boo and normally hate it but atm it is understandable. I also never used to leave early but last 2 games have left at 90m.
Brought in some quality before. Would only be allowed players that the club approved of.
I don't think anyone at Saints screwed up. It's just very hard to operate a 1/3 the wage budget of some other teams. And the number of players and managers we have lost to other clubs. It's especially hard when you try to punch well above your level. Those years we were chasing Europe competition, we could have settled for 10th and brought some young players into the team. That might have made losing the star players less.
I think most likely we were clever and forward thinking as far as scouting and academy and maybe some other things. But then the other teams figured it out, and once they applied their much greater resources to the same strategies we were using, then our advantage was lost.
In the end, it's all about spending. So if you want to blame someone, blame KL. Although that seems unfair as well as without her and her father the club might not even exist today.
