Listen mate if I don't give a **** anymore about whether England win it's up to me. I cant get excited about overpaid arsehole prima donna's, Infact I'd be more interested in England if all the players were picked from the Championship and the way it's going I wont have a long wait. Since Sven came along we've been ****. The last time I really enjoyed watching us was when Venables was in charge.

I agree with Dean again. Since Euro 96, at a push Hoddle's 98 team, England games have been ****e. I was in France and Germany for the World Cups, but don't think I'll bother again - I used to love it. The players now don't really give a toss. Club all the way.

I dont even Bother watching England play...I dont like the teams the players play for and i dont like the players...i couldnt care less about the national team....

BUT i am mad about Hull City, allways have been since my dad first took me to BP.

I use to watch England games on the TV, they spoilt it by stopping the home internationals every 2 years...Use to like watching us beat scotland and N ireland and Wales...

    ==================================

ps.........NFUNo2 the day ENGLAND have a city player in the team will be the day i bother to watch them..why would i be cheering on man utd , arsenal , chelsea players etc when i cant stand those clubs or there tosspot players..

Makes you sound like on of those Johhny come lately types.

How was Japan? I also gave that a miss, I also never even considered South Africa and if I am honest,I doubt if I would go and watch the England team play in pearson park these days.

    Club for me.

I bet you still watched the match last night? What a ridiculous comment to say you hope England loose.

If I had to sum Japan up in one word, it would be 'weird'.

I spend a fair bit of time working in Hong Kong and my sister used to live in Tokyo, I'd often go and see her for the weekend, so I've been there quite a few times. Most places in the world, you find that people are very similar, they have the same sense of humour etc, but Japan is completely different to anywhere else I've been.

It's well worth a visit, but it takes a bit of getting use to, you need to learn some Japanese if you want to go anywhere(as the cab drivers only speak Japanese), you need at least three visits to figure out the underground(they have several tube lines but all are private and none of them meet, so to switch lines you have to come out onto the street, find a station for the next line you want, then go back down again, it's bizarre). On a Sunday you get racist politicians in black armoured cars driving round spouting hatred through loud speakers, they even have radio stations that just transmit Japanese military marching music 24 hours a day, they've been running continuously since the second world war.

After the Sweden game we went back into central Tokyo for a meal in a Thai restaurant, when we arrived a very nice man welcomed us, pointed out there were some Sweden fans in there and asked us very politely if we would agree to 'having no fighting'. <laugh>

I have heard many stories regarding the Japan world cup experience. I have yet to hear of one England fan who got intimate with a local girl.
I hope you're not an odd one out in that respect, what with you being a married man and all that.
Will you be going to Brazil? perhaps I should ask that one further down the line, best to qualify before booking me thinks.

I didn't get intimate with anyone, I'm a good boy, though there was a Brazilian bird who worked at Bar Red in Roppongi who had the largest chest I've ever seen. <laugh>

I quite like the idea of going to Brazil, I've never been before and I believe my mate from Bar Red has moved back there now. :emoticon-0105-wink:

just to broaden the whole 'england' experience.. rugby union six nations.. now living here in france there is only ONE fixture I am interested in and that's England vs them. I don't even like the stupid sport as it's got daft rules that the average punter can't follow but the RESULT is important.. losing to the frogs isn't an option be it friendly football, rugby or tiddlywinks..

oh and when we didn't qualify under stevie mac but City had won at Wembley that made my summer.. I enjoyed the WC all the same in the happy knowledge that we'd be playing in the PL the next season..

Biggest crime of the SA world cup was that we left Theo Walcott and Adam Johnson at home. I would say both club and country, but at this moment in time club as it's hard to pick your spirits up after a massive let down at the world cup. I reckon i care more about city, especially day to day, but if we ever won the world cup it would mean more than anything. I was fuming when we didn't win the bid for 2022 aswell, when i didn't think i'd be that bothered, but it turned out i was. With more youngsters like Carroll and Wilshere coming through the ranks hopefully there will be something to look forward to. The sooner the old timers bugger off and we get the young lads who have some passion about playing for their country in the team the better.
