It's utterly insane mate, it really is. Seem to recall we were rumoured to have paid around that for him last summer, when he had, what 1 or 2 years left on his contract at spurs? So we improve him, he's got 3 years left on his deal, inflation has litereally doubled, and we're selling him for approximately what we bought him for. I ****ing despair. Seems all the rhetoric about "we won't sell until we have a replacement" the club was spewing amongst the Kone rumours really was just a load of bullshit.
Can understand the passion and frustration but reading the statement Kaboul wants away for personal reasons, whatever they are, and there could well be a release fee in his contract. Either way the club is left with an unhappy player who's heart is no longer here. Maybe if the "personal reasons" could be made public but if they are too sensitive it would give us some idea of the club's reasons to let him go. Paying 8m for a Chelsea reserve and letting him go for 3.5m makes no sense so maybe the underlying reasons are more complicated than we know, or will be made known.
I like the end of his statement as well. "I made this decision for me", at least the **** actually admits he doesn't give a **** about the club, the fans, or anyone else I suppose. Couldn't bear another year in the North East racking up his £50k a week I guess, too hard of a life to endure for another 10 months. Gotta be in London for as much of your life as you possibly can or it's just not worth living, right? The prick.
Meh, I thought about this and honestly, no matter what it is, it's just an excuse to live in the bright lights of London. You give me an example of a "personal reason", and I'll tell you how it can be solved with, essentially, an unlimited budget (i.e. a Premier League footballer's wage).
Maybe the casino's are better in London? Remember when Keane tried to get him? Whatever we are a laughing stock yet again
Short out now, we are going backwards, I hope he relises this this is now relegation. I for one won't be going to another cup game with him in charge, or next season, this club is ruined.
My thoughts exactly, but still puzzled by the low transfer fee. I'm always optimistic, so I'm hoping, I mean really really hoping that we have things going on in the background. There is a lot of negativity around the club at the moment, and after finishing on such a high. Surely things can only get better. In 13 days time we will all know the answer.... KTF lads and lasses PS - Am gutted all the same
Aye the figure is ridiculously low. They should hold tight. Tell him that they agree with his request to leave, but only once their valuation is met. No idea what his value is like, but its more than bloody 3.5.
30 is young for a cb, We've got him completing games and in fine form, a lot more than Spurs managed, they couldn't keep him fit for ****. Then you have the inflation in the market at the moment. 10m minimum I'd say. Without the inflation we should be making profit on 5m we paid at least. We're showing we're weak club mate. It's embarrassing.
If his personal reasons are serious enough to warrant a move, such as ill family member or some such i get it. but to sell him for such a low price is a ****ing joke. a ****ing shambles. that's him and Kone gone then - i'm resigned to that - so not exactly a season of progress so far, with the dpine of the team ripped out. I expect we'll get thumped of Boro, sadly. Then in 13 days i expect a fans revolt at the lack of quality/depth in our squad. I'll be seeking out Short at his lunchtime slot, Black and Blue, during my London trips in September. Reet ****ed off today. ****ing SAFC.
Short & Baine haven't a ****ing clue. Wasn't that **** involved in the Rangers tax evasion fiasco that got them demoted to the bottom league? We were better off with Maggie Big Tits. Absolutely ****ing shocking decision to let him go so cheap. Watford must be pissing themselves. Short needs to find a buyer & **** of back to Texas. I hope it's some **** like Danny Levy who screws the buying club for every last penny.
You are choosing to interpret kaboul's personal statement to suit your own critical argument. He actually said "this incredibly hard decision for me". For me that can be interpreted that he has agonised over this for some time not wanting to go but finally made the choice to go for reasons yet to come. The break has been done by mutual agreement and Kaboul acknowledges that the club has done this in both parties best interest.
