CLUB STATEMENT
Posted on: Mon 16 Jan 2012
The club has released the following statement in wake of today's stadium news.
"The new stadium project is for the good of our city, for families, communities, business, job prospects, entertainment and for sport in our region. The £92m worth of private investment will create hundreds of part-time and full-time jobs. Our recent visit to Brighton and Hove Albion showed us first-hand the benefit their new stadium brings to communities, businesses and local people. Over 1,100 people were at work in the stadium on Saturday, giving us all a real indication of what our new stadium could do for Bristol.
"Bristol City Football Club is not party to this legal process and will watch developments with interest. We remain committed to delivering this exciting opportunity for our city.
"The club will make no further comment."
