Just a thought, what if our new gaffer doesn't fancy our favourites to do the job and decides to bring in his own raft of superstars to take their place?

OK back on topic. If its Koeman he should have a good network to use to our advantage.

That's upto him, But I highly doubt he'd make major changes as we have a international set up here., He'll just be coach.

Cost far too much to buy a whole new PL team. We should have faith in our players...they are good enough to be confident of getting game time. He will be looking to graft quality on to an already good side.

Just replied to the PM. Honestly no worries at all and Jasper remember, I'm a spurs fan, I'm used to getting abuse! (I can take it on the chin)

I said this on the spurs board but outside the top 7, from 8th to 20th, pretty much anyone is capable of finishing anywhere and while last season you where the stand out team (outside the top 7) all it takes is the right manager and at least two top signings and you can still be the best team outside the top 7 and then build from there.

I know many of you where hoping to break higher, but being realistic the top 7 would all have strengthened (even if you kept pochettino) and Koeman (if he is the manager) could possibly do a similar job as Laudrup done at swansea when he first arrived and made some impressive signings by using his contacts.

    This makes me smile.

The usual talk is of the top 4. Then the top 6 was where it was at. Now it is the top 7 as all the teams from 8th to 20th can finish anywhere! Is it strectching as Spurs are supposedly seen as a big club that may struggle to get into the '6' let alone the top 4 - there are serious challengers coming up, not just Saints for the top 6...

    I think boss is right.

Realistically, if everything was rosey and we managed to keep all of our players, we could have challenged spurs/Everton for 6th. Now we look like losing a few, we could easily finish 8th again. With the right coach/transfer moves this may not become a step backward, just a level step. Or the first year of a new five year plan...
