The timing of it isn't great either, anybody coming in will have a days worth of training before the league game against Liverpool. By which point they could be in the relegation zone.

Best way I can describe it - it is probably necessary but is still sad.

Thank you and goodbye Claudio.

I feel awful for Ranieri, the way he was laughed at when he was appointed, even Mourinho sticking his oar in pointing out he'd never won anything, then he goes and leads us to the title was amazing. After last nights efforts it looked like there was a unity between him and the players, and that things could sort themselves out. In a league where all managers blame anyone but themselves for their short comings he was the most gracious manager that's trod the Premier league touchlines and his humility stood him apart from his fellow managers. I'm sad!

Total insanity.I'm afraid you'll go down now.
We would have gone down with him to be fair, nothing seemed to be working for him this year and the players aren't responding to defeats as well as last year.

For what he did last season, i think most fans would have been happy to hang onto him and risk our premier league status, but can totally understand that the owners don't want to take that backwards step as a club.

I don't expect any manager in before Liverpool, certainly not in charge for the match anyway.

Would like us to look at Rowett as a good up and coming manager, Monk, or maybe even bring back Martin O'Neil.
Would not be a fan of Mancini, Warburton, Pardew or Stam, but wouldn't complain.
And a giant **** NO to Hodgson, Pearson, Neville, Sherwood and McClaren.

it could be Swansea or Palace.
Hull will end up top 10
:p

Time for the players who have let everybody not least themselves down. Its now done so now its time to move on. The difficulties remain but the club has to move on. Sickening but football is a results game the stinking annoying pampered caught in the ridiculous glory headlights tosspots owe ranieri survival at the very least.

And therein lies your problem surely. You should call every one of them out publicly and at games. Start singing 'you're not fit to wear the shirt!!!'.... Ranieri was a breath of fresh air, everyone wanted him as their manager, your team last year was everyones second favourite team. Your so called superstars demanded ridiculous amounts of money and got it and how do they repay the man who got them the notoriety and salary contracts... they **** on him from a great height. Have they given the cars back by the way..!!!!

And the bad news for you if you don't go down is, I expect that very very few of your players have relegation clauses in their contracts and based on what they've produced this season who will want to sign them.

As far as I understand it the whole squad have a 40% pay cut relegation clause.

Commiserations Foxes, tough times, at least you have something that most of us ordinary clubs can only dream about.

I'm really sad it came to this and love Ranieri for what he did.

However, it needed to happen and all those condemning the club who know nothing about the goings on are nothing but patronising and disrespectful. So we should just accept going down? If it wasn't for last season he'd have gone ages ago, that bought him so much more time but he lost the team. What else could the owners do?
