Honestly we don't know yet. It depends on what the proposal actually is. Until the club announce that we'd be foolish to oppose it. Once the details are finalised and available we'll gather the views of supporters and examine the specifics of the scheme. Only then will we be in a position to say what our stance is. Certainly it isn't good enough in its current form, even the club have accepted that.
The obvious deficiencies of the scheme in requiring lots of people to move seats was a feature of the feedback given to the club by our reps that attended the FWG meeting the other week. The club has published nothing since to suggest that those deficiencies have been addressed. The Trust has resolved to await publication of the final scheme before making a definitive statement, but as it stands we are in receipt of many emails and tweets from shareholders that oppose the stadium moves, and the Board will want to take all of those into account. Or, in summary - the answer is very likely yes, unless the scheme changes radically when published. EDIT - I see PLT has already replied, apologies for the duplication.
I sit in one of the affected areas in the South Stand. I am not prepared to move as I have sat in that seat since we moved to the KC. I picked that seat as it gave me a very similar view to the one I had at Boothferry Park - I like it exactly where I am.
I'm in a similar situation to you. Been there since stadium opened, same view as at Boothferry Park. If I have to move, which is on the cards, I won't be going. The club is losing a few hundred quid. And a few hundred quid each for the other three who sit in the row who also won't be going anymore.
Just as a suggestion, would you not consider moving to the North Stand equivalent so you get the same view of the pitch? Might work out cheaper as well
Money isn't a deciding factor for me, in fact it's irrelevant. I have made quite a few acquaintances in my current seat - I enjoy the pre match 'bantz'. Why would I want to move, or why should I move? If the club forces a move upon me, then I won't bother renewing. Allam has given his reasons for leaving Egypt as not liking life under a dictatorship government, yet what is he doing to us as fans? Dictating.
I think a lot of fans might want confirmation on where the away fans will be positioned before deciding where to move!
They won't be genuinely taking onboard fans concerns if they are merely going to tweak the scheme as proposed version is fatally flawed in my view.
That decision won't be made for at least a year or two, so it's not something that can be taken into account now.
It was never planned to happen for next season, there's a longer term plan to move the away fans up there, but the Safety Advisory Group are yet to be convinced that it's a good idea.
Except for moving pass holders out of the upper west, it seems. If we get promoted there is no reason why the existing pass holders cannot have their current seats. Consultation with them could then take place at the same time as the club tries to convince the police to allow away fans in the upper west. If the move is in the best interests of the club and they are treated with a little consideration I'm sure the majority of current pass holders would agree to a move.
Dinosaur! You're not appreciating the opportunities When I was evicted it was great. We were able to drop from 6 of us to 5 because one was away for the whole time (a week or so) that you had to go into the ticket office, in person, with all the other people you wanted to sit with, at the same time. He couldn't so he didn't renew Then we bought 5 tickets together in North, but with no real allegiance to the area, having been split up from other surrounding friends and acquaintances. Of course when the name change fiasco happened none of us renewed. Still buy tickets, well after AA stopped going, but it is rare we're all there. Sometimes none of us are So look on the bright side. It'll save you a fortune!
