Fair play to the club for acting on the feedback they've recieved. Taking a step back to review the scheme is a positive move. Fingers crossed the review leads to the club making the necessary changes to the scheme that will make it both fair & acceptable to all.
So you are assuming attendance stays the same then. At those prices attendance would almost certainly increase which would offset the loss of revenue per seat.
http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/trust-welcomes-rethink-of-hull-citys-membership-scheme/ The Hull City Supporters’ Trust board welcomes today’s announcement by Hull City AFC that the initial “Earn Your Stripes” membership scheme proposals recently issued will now be delayed and the subject of a review. This fully reflects the views expressed to the club by the Trust’s representatives, who recently heard some of the scheme’s details at the Fans’ Working Group meeting. It is clear that full and frank engagement with all supporters and all of their representative bodies and groups, on matters of detail as well as headlines, is now required in order that the damage done by the initial announcement can be reversed. The Trust’s Board, led by our new chairman Geoff Bielby who is also our representative on the Fans’ Working Group, stands ready to work alongside all other supporters’ groups and contribute positively to this review. In the meantime, the Trust’s Board is intending to work up some alternative proposals, based both on adjustments to the current season card scheme and proposals for an improved form of membership scheme, that could be delivered in a more equitable manner and still achieve the financial and loyalty outcomes that the club is seeking. We will share these proposals with the club in due course.
I'm not assuming anything. The club have worked this out based on getting promoted and filling the ground. Unless they now change it to having one price for the Championship and another for the Premier League, it will be worked out based on Premier League numbers, as that's where they aim to be.
I know I'm a bit thick but can someone explain the logistics of all this. If the West Stand Upper and the South Stand adults are being evicted, is it the presumption on the part of the club that all the families will move into the South Stand, thereby freeing up seats in the remaining parts of the ground? Or are there thousands of seats available even if no-one moves - obviously not in the South or West Upper?
There are, on average, 7,500 empty seats every game, so currently everyone from the West Upper could easily be accommodated in the lower tiers. But in practical terms, most families would have to move into the South to free up enough seats together for those moving to remain in the groups they're already in.
I thought the Club took two years to come up with this ****e - how long will it take to come up with something that actually works
I just hope that they scrap any ideas of forcing people to move seats and closing upper tier. As for those who face price increases, I hope they fully retain concessions and don't resort to a transitional scheme like happened with old poll tax as they don't work as problems and opposition do not go away.
I know, why don't they just reduce the price of the season card and let you pay for it over 12 months - to be honest I don't understand this 'membership' stuff - sounds like a load of pop (pile of pish)
Don't get your hopes up too much, the precise details are just being tweaked, it's still going to be basically the same scheme.
I very much doubt that any of the tweaks will be reintroduction of concessions or removal of the evictions... probably a slight moving of the boundaries for each of the zones
Most were screaming and wailing about the facts that were put on the clubs own website. Those facts took according to some took two years to produce. The club was happy enough to go to print with a nice brochure for you all. It will be interesting to see how in a few short weeks they can tweak this to make it palatable to the fans.
