It is if one was going to get a proper answer. But perhaps you'll tell Jasper rather than focussing on me, eh..?

He's consistently failed to fulfill the potential he showed at Saints. A player with his level of natural ability should be lighting up the pitch and influencing games in the same manner that Gareth Bale did at Tottenham. That has not been the case with Theo, so while you can argue that he's a better player now than he was at 17, I would say he's fallen way short of what he might have achieved.

I'd say he's reached his potential now, he's just constantly injured. There's never been any reason to think he was going to be a Neymar, Bale, Ronaldo level player.

He's certainly a very good player, you no only need to see his goal and assist tallies to see that. Maybe another year and a half with us may have made him have better vision. Oh, and he should play up front.

Oh I don't know. The first goal had star quality written all over it.

16m for a player who has only made 22 appearnces is madness. You have to take it.

Me too :( I guess deep down it was inevitable but now that it's real, it's ****ing horrible. Was so looking forward to seeing Jay Rod next season playing for us. Now he'll be scoring for Spurs and Pochettino. Why is Pochettino the second ****ing coming? What does he have that Koeman can't offer?

Mate, I watched both his debuts. First for us against Wolves, and then by coincidence I was at the Emirates when he came on for you lot vs Villa. On both occasions he came on the pitch and changed the whole balance of the game, as he did nearly every time he played in a Saints shirt. There was every reason to believe he would go on to become World Class. Sadly, he hasn't.

Incidentally, at the very start of his career, Chamberlain stood out even more than either Walcott or Bale did at that stage (in my opinion, obviously). I remember watching him during a warm up receiving a 30 yard crossfield ball at an awkward height and pace, with a control that was effortless. A minute later, as if to prove it was no fluke, he did it again. It will be interesting to see how her develops, because he's another one who should be special.

Perhaps our sale contract ought to have included right of first refusal for loans.

Well there's no point in believing the board when they're saying Callum didn't want to stay, they're not exactly trustworthy, aren't they? But I do actually believe Callum wanted out when he got the opportunity; who would have wanted to stay and what for, anyway?

By what I have heard Callum going to Arsenal was already on the cards last year.

Well the media have certainly been saying for quite a while now that Wenger is a fan of his.

Any time we produce a good player they leave. This has been the way for some time and is unlikely to change. What is the point? We're never going to break into Europe if it stays like this, and if we do our players will just be sold again to the bigger clubs. It's two steps forward three steps back. It's the same teams going for Europe and the title each year, aiming for 8th is a really thrilling prospect :emoticon-0114-dull:

Every time it was mentioned in the media (including social media) last season about how refreshing to it was to see a side like us producing home grown players etc, and how we should be the model for every other English team etc, I just kept on thinking along these lines.

When quality kids come along, the big guys just hoover them up. So for me, it is totally understandable that many smaller clubs don't bother to spend the time, effort and expense in producing them. And until regulations come in (as a smaller club, you can't exactly just ask the big clubs to please not bid for our players - so it would have to be formal regulations from UEFA/FA/PL/whoever), I can't see it changing.

All these Spurs/Arsenal/Utd/Liverpool fans saying how sorry they are to see our team break up etc etc. Well it's your teams' fault!!!

It's a hell of a lot better than battling relegation year in year out !
