Really do not know what is happening but suspect that there may well be some investment into the club on its way. I heard when KLD first started his purchase of the club that once he had established it and was showing progress that there was significant investment available for the project. What I was told was that this would come to fruition when we made it to the Premier league. However we are not their yet but whoever the investors are maybe they have been impressed by the work done and are considering pushing the button on that investment. I do remember talk of reaching the Prem over a three or for season spell and investment tied to that. We are almost on track with that as well, but who knows as it is all really just speculation.
Thought he might have owned a bigger apartment...... But im sure thats just one of a load he owns for hidden weekend getaways due to incredibly pressure he must be under being one of the richest people in the world
Having seen some of the hysterical speculation and wild guesses it's refreshing to see a bit of common sense, as usual in your case. If, and when, KLD moves away/aside/upstairs you'd hope anyone 'investing' would be a serious organisation, not just some celebrity who's buying the club on a whim. You're right, in my opinion, of believing serious organisations will have been tracking us for quite some time. Why wouldn't they, we're an extremely attractive proposition. KLD hasn't just taken the easy route, bought in a bunch of experienced players and whipped up the supporters ... ... he's painstakingly build a professional structure and brought in professionals to run it. Despite that he's taken a huge amount of childish criticism from narrow minded idiots. Anyone buying into the club wouldn't have a great deal to change which is a far cry from the massive upheavals we've had in the past. It reminds me of the Tommy Watson situation whereby a club was tracking the progress and considering an offer. Sunderland resisted but when the price was difficult to refuse they accepted. It may be that the buyers decided that, if they didn't pay the asking price, someone else may have stepped in ... ... but you're right, as things stand nothing is done until we see 'the scarf shot'. It's all just speculation and we've better things to think about at the moment.
Good post mate. Serious money always finds its' way to the anticipated best return, and,I suspect, serious money won't do a scarf shot. KLD is serious money and it's clear, has top-rate advisors around him.The chat in the other place and on social media, and,by people like Simon Jordan, seeking to present a case that he is a kid, playing with his Dad's money, just doesn't hold any credence. He's an intelligent man, who's seen an opportunity and knows if he gets it right, the future is very bright....for him in his potential financial return and for us as a club. Imo,we're in good hands....but we're still building....I wouldn't understand why he would want to sell now....it's far too early.
Wouldn’t mind the Fulwell 73/LeBron element buying out Sartori and working with KLD mind. That sounds like a fruitful combo. It’s all bollocks of course there’s no way a sale is being discussed while we are 3 games from PL. If KLD engagement with club posts etc ever reduces from his personal instagram, then I’ll wonder. It hasn’t. LD family can self club the club a long, long way to being a sustainable and profitable PL club and a family asset. Can’t see them bailing.
Good post mate. KLD has made a stable and forward looking success out of SAFC ... ... the first owner, in my lifetime. to do so. People claiming he's just a bored lad playing with his inheritance are brainless. Rich people almost never fritter away their wealth and, thankfully, he won't put our club in debt.
