    All good news this.

Saka, MLS and Nwaneri all on long term contracts

What's your thoughts on Partey ?

Personally I think we should be giving him another 2-3 year contract. He's been key to our MF this season.

Really want us to extend Partey's deal.

He's been great this Season. Was amazing against Madrid.

Arteta did say they have offered him a new deal.

That's good news, I hope he signs.

I know we're supposed to be getting Zubemendi, but I think Partey is key in this MF

Unpopular view perhaps, but I think we need to let him go. Let him go and look at starting afresh for that position.

He's 32 this Summer and, whilst he's (surprisingly) been fit for the entire season, I don't think his fitness and form over the entire time he's been at the club warrants a 2 year deal. A 3 year deal would be insane IMO given his age and overall unreliability with staying fit.

This season in particular, on the ball, he's been very good on the whole for us, but I still think he's been a liability in some games (especially off the ball) against physically dominant and athletic midfields that can eat space. He sometimes get bypassed too easily.
He was great against Madrid in both games, but was helped by the fact that their midfielders don't press, aren't physical specimens and they didn't have many effective ball-carriers through the centre.

If we can win the Champions League this season, he can leave on a high, but I really think it'd be a mistake to renew him for the reasons I've stated.

I'd sign him on a new 2-year contract but only to have immediate sale value to Saudi... get £40m for him. :bandit:

Knowing our luck, we'd renew his deal for two years and then he gets injured for 6 months the moment the season starts!

Max Dowman 15 - scored 4 goals today for the U18's against Reading.

10 goals in his last 4 games against players 3 years above his age group. Kid is looking like the next big thing.

Congratulations to the Arsenal Women's team for overturning a 2-1 deficit from the first leg and winning 4-1 in the second leg against Lyon to reach the Champions League final!

It's the first Champions League final since they last won the competition in their historic quadruple winning season in 2006/07. Lyon's women team are the most coveted side in Champions League history and hadn't lost at home in over 2 years, so what the women did yesterday was pretty exceptional stuff.

They will be playing Barcelona in the final. Going to be extremely tough, as Barcelona's women team is a cut above every other side in the world, but it's still an incredible achievement to reach the final regardless. Let's hope they can find a way to win it now.

Hoping the men will follow suit shortly...

Seems likely Berta didn't want him there and they've 'let him leave' rather than straight up firing him.

Huge congratulations to Arsenal Women for winning the UEFA Women's Champions League! The 2nd time in our history and the only club in England whose women's team has European heritage <applause>

Lyon in the semis and Barcelona today were both heavy, heavy favourites against us, so I don't think people truly appreciate how big a result this was. Renee Slegers has done an outstanding job. Chelsea Women have invested and put so many resources into winning it, yet still haven't been able to do it. Also worth noting that Barcelona battered Chelsea 8-2 on aggregate in the semi-finals. So to win AND keep a clean sheet in the final against the best side in the world is an outrageous achievement.

Good luck to him. Just hope he doesn't become another one of those promising players who then disappears into anonymity a la Emmanuel-Thomas only to reappear years later for other reasons.
