Out of curiosity, do you have links to these constant votes?

All I can recall is one persons opinion in a mediocre blog.[/QUOTE]

Here's some to start with - the two hundred per cent is an interesting read

I was aware that individuals had posted their views in blogs like the ones you've linked. They're only the equivalent of posts on here, often with similar levels of inaccuracies.

It was the constant votes you mention I was looking for links to.

fair enough - my careless use of English - was referring to the number of times he's referred to in that respect

So basically there there are no polls that rate him as the worst owner, constantly or otherwise. Just articles designed to attract readership and comment.

    Thanks for clearing that up.

If someone were to poll football fans on the worst club owner in England, where do you think he'd come?

Oyston would definitely come top, Newcastle fans would go for Ashley, Venky's would be up there, but he'd definitely make the top five.

Subjective aint it? Not to mention arbitary.

Your lad for example doesn't even think Oyston warrants a mention but would vote for Winkelman.

I'm sure some Man U fans would vote for Glazier.

Fact is, there aren't numerous polls that feature our chairman, as claimed by Castro, and you sticking your oar in won't change that.

That rather depends on what's being voted on, for example the transfer fund given to the manager or the club's on field record. It also depends on what information fans are basing their opinions on and the accuracy and balance of that information.

All of which is by the by, given Charon has acknowledged he didn't mean 'vote' as such, as one doesn't exist.

there are numerous articles or what ever else you choose to call them putting him in the category of worst football team owner - on the other hand I couldn't find any reference to him being in the category of best owner other than from a dim-witted attention seeking **** that appears on Hull City Not606

You'd be hard pushed to find articles consistently praising most football chairmen. Good news isn't newsworthy. The links you posted are hardly credible sources, they're no more then rehashes of some of the stuff on here.

I did have a quick scan, and there's a few articles just talking about him as a chairman that are not derogatory too. It depends what you search for.

I keep saying it, but it has to be more productive to look at the actual issues rather than just claiming we're the hardest done to fans in the world. Comments from some other clubs fans would suggest some would argue 'better the devil you know'.

Experience on here shows that degenerating a debate to a personal level achieves little but division.
Most if not all oppose the name change, be it official or the creeping erosion we see. Attacking that is surely more liable to be productive and create a more unified fan group than just whining about the chairman himself.

I love the way people seem to think it's a piece of piss to keep a club like Hull City in the top flight! In our entire history only two managers have ever gotten us into the top flight and one was Bruce. Only two mangers have ever avoided relegation once and one was Bruce...and he's STILL our most successful manager by far!!!

While I'm on it, it also make me laugh when people say things like "oh well it was him that wasted £10m on Henendez"...honestly how many managers signed prolific strikers in the Premier League last season for £10m? It's peanuts in the EPL now and you pay peanuts you get........

This is why it isn't good enough - just think how far Palace have progressed on so little money and they only went up via the play-offs - then look at Leicester - which ever way you look at it, last season was a total **** up

Well i doubt any club plans to get relegated so they can come back up. I meant more the fans were supposed to be happy to keep yo yoing.

Last time we were relegated we had no one to sell apart from 2 or 3. We had your favourite Gardiner etc to try and get rid. This time we have assets and its making it worse in a way as we/the club are vulnerable to bids coming in which we cant stop. Its hard to plan anything. We all know we need the front 3 to go but as yet nothing.

If it turns out we have to play Lenihan, Luer, Max Clark etc with the Meylers Dawson Bruces so be it.
