Modric looks like he's losing his balance and stumbles a litt bit and see's the leg coming out as an oppertunity to tumble.
What are you talking about? It's nothing to do with what I want to see, they still lost didn't they? Even if there is contact, it's the most minute amount and nowhere near sufficient enough to go over.
Why does that make it a penalty then??!! 'inclined to go down' what a crock of ****. A pathetic excuse to go down, the only thing annoying me about your view is the fact you're saying it's one of the most obvious penalty decisions you will ever see. Anyway, I don't want to argue about something this trivial so we'll just agree to disagree, ok?
Looks like Modric was already off balance , a slight touch and hes decided hes gonna dive. I dont think it should have been a pen but i can see why he has given it , and i have certainly seen worse dives. Move along , Nothing to see here .
I am sure those spuds fans were not bleating when Walker basically handled, fondled and carressed the ball against Fulham, and the referee denied them a penalty, or when VDV handled the ball to score against us...... These things even themselves out over the season. They lost simple as that, don't care if they were denied a goal or Ade's goal was legitimate...we need them now to drop points against a "resurgent" Sunderland, whilst we play at citeh.. Best week for me for a while, both manchester clubs out of CL, spuds get beat and we win....
Supa Cym I don't care whether he dived or not! The Spuds flatter to deceive again that is all that matters.
Even if their was contact it was so minimal that it would not have caused a player to fall, at most it was a touch and no grown man would fall from such contact, Modric could have stayed on his feet and kept the ball, instead he chose to cheat and get a penalty
You are 100% not going to change my mind and I am 100% not going to change yours. So like I said, we'll agree to disagree.
For me it was a penalty, which should have been given without Modric going down. However, like it or not, that is the way that the players at the top level indicate to the referee that they would like the penalty and not the advantage. I don't blame him and I don't think it was cheating. Overall I was just struck about what an Arsenal like performance it was from Spurs. Every time there was a high ball into the box it was PANIC!!!! And lots of screwy decisions. Just magic!
