Ah.......apart from the 6 for Konchesky and saying we played well, there's not too much to disagree with.

Excellent report and almost more than underlined our problems now (well our problems over four years tbh) He praised Polter and with Phillips two centers they were the only things to be praise about. I like clives reports because he is not a "fan-boy reporter" and only praise the team and the club when they earn it.

Clive often likes to swim against the tide of opinion but in this piece he seems to be doing the opposite and taking his comments from the populists at the Crown and Sceptre rather than the evidence of his own eyes. I knew I was going to disagree with just about everything once I saw him include Devon White in the same category as Jamie Mackie and Dan ****tu for which he may yet be sued if the latter ever get to see it.
It is ludicrous to big-up Polter to the degree seen here ever if you do like underdog players. The German is simply a non-footballer.
It's easy to join the growing bandwagon blaming it all on TF but not so easy to explain why (so he doesn't try just like all the other critics).
It is downright silly to underplay the instant improvement delivered by Warnock and which is now being dismantled week-by-week by the new manager.
And it is verging on the criminal to say that we played well against Hull.
About the only thing I agreed with him on was Green who has been an ever increasing liability since he joined us, but then who wouldn't?

Think he should give Warnock a bit more respect, those 7 points might mean we are not in League one next season

It's a sad day when you can be lambasted for praising a player who had shown maximum effort in a team that often shows little and who has scored two of and set up the other two of our last four goals. I'm sorry but I find the NW love in much harder to take, those four games were as dire as anything we've seen lately and reinforced the horrific not playing a striker tactic. Not that I don't like NW but the praise goes over the top, there are some that see his manipulation of fans as part of the cause of the current problems.

Just to be clear, we're allowed to slag off Polter but not Fernandes?

I could not agree more with that last sentence Frome. Yes it was excellent to see NW taking control for a few games, his enthusiasm was highly infectious. However, as many have said, he was never the long term solution so we all need to move on and put him in the friend zone. This is a big January (again) and I think/hope we will see a few players shifted off the books.

Must admit I've no idea what to expect this Jan or even what I'm hoping for. Fer going would be a good start.

Does anyone actually think we were good under Warnock this season? Personally I think we were fortunate to play some awful teams. The best performance was probably the loss at Middlesbrough and he wasn't there.

Again, agree. I actually think the best we have played all season was the 2-2 against Brighton, under JFH. Personally, this January I'd like to be rid of Sandro, Fer, Phillips and Austin for money. I'd like to see Green and Henry never play again, Konch returned to Leicester and Doughty to just be released because to me he seems like someone who's been kept behind at school for 4 extra years. He can't be considered a youth prospect at 23 surely? Obviously, there's more chance of us going up than that all happening so ideally just get some money for Fer and Sandro and buy a bleeding right back and a centre forward.
