    Brilliant piece Roller.

Thoroughly engrossing and evocative in a way that left me feeling a cross between sad and numbed by the prospect of our club being so bereft of those who know such pride and passion to wear the shirt.

I am gutted about both Clint and Ale (more than a grown man of 38 should be).

    Again, a great read.

A fitting tribute Roller, to a wholehearted, solid professional, who leaves us surely a weaker unit since his departure.

My over riding memory of Clint is of the aftermath of our promotion game against Leeds. I hung around after the game and watched players leave the ground as they emerged onto South Africa Road. They were all on a high and gave varying degrees of their time to R's fans, but Hill was different. He came out, stopped, punched the air and shouted "COME ON, YEEEAAAAHHH". He spent ages chatting with fans, sharing our delight. It meant a huge amount to him, such that he seemed more a fan himself, than a player.

He's been a fantastic player for us, a leader, he might have had the odd poor game, but his attitude and commitment has never been in question. What more can you ask for at a club like ours?

I agree, this guy is irreplaceable and I hope we will welcome him back soon in some capacity to install everything we have loved about him in the next generation.

Simon, hope you're well, great piece. Clint, welcome to the list of Rangers legends, thank you.

Irreplacable! Can we play with 10 men next season?

Why not? Haven't we been playing with less than that for far too long? What's the worst that could happen?

Old figures I know but it puts the Madness Of King Tony at it's height into perspective....

Julio Cesar | Cost: Free | Wage: £75,000-per-week
Robert Green | Cost: Free | Wage: £50,000-per-week
    Armand Traore | Cost: £1.2m | Wage: £40,000-per-week
Luke Young | Cost: Undisclosed | Wage: £45,000-per-week
    Anton Ferdinand | Cost: £2.5m | Wage: £45,000-per-week
    Nedum Onuoha | Cost: £3m | Wage: £55,000-per-week
    Stephane Mbia | Cost: £5m | Wage: 50,000-per-week
    Chris Samba | Cost: £12m | Wage: £100,000-per-week
Ryan Nelsen | Cost: Free | Wage: £35,000-per-week
Joey Barton | Cost: Free | Wage: £70,000-per-week
    Shaun Wright-Phillips | Cost: £2m | Wage: £60,000-per-week
    Samba Diakite | Cost: £3.5m | Wage: £45,000-per-week
    Park Ji-Sung | Cost: £2m | Wage: £70,000-per-week
    Junior Hoilett | Cost: £4m | Wage: £50,000-per-week
    Esteban Granero | Cost: £3.5m | Wage: £65,000-per-week
Jermaine Jenas | Cost: Undisclosed | Wage: £40,000-per-week
    Djibril Cisse | Cost: £4m | Wage: £60,000-per-week
    Bobby Zamora | Cost: £6m | Wage: £70,000-per-week
Andy Johnson | Cost: Free | Wage: £40,000-per-week
    Loic Remy | Cost: £8m | Wage: £80,000-per-week

    Clint Hill priceless.

In the context of that overpaid, underperforming vanity project, he really was irreplaceable.
