Well I couldn't have got that more wrong! The right hand thing was weird.....by the way how **** is Bellew, size and weight advantage, supposed big puncher and yet he never looked like knocking Clev out. Wonder if that's it for Cleverley now....shouldn't have gone up a weight for me.
Well i won't be getting tickets if its in the MS. Terrible fight. Hopefully Cleverly will just retire now.
It was like watching the Swans, Clevely's 2nd half was a mare! Taff sounds like you are having Neath weather ☺
Agree mate. Neither of their 2 fights were very good...thought this one would be much better as neither could afford to lose. I couldn't give a **** whether they like each other or not to be honest, that's not a reason to make the match. Hearn will have earned his money if he can shift those tickets.
For all of their 'hatred' i was expecting fireworks. It turned into a damp squib. The fact that Sky made it pay per view was worse
A shocking example of professional boxing. One fat and bumbling the other afraid to throw decent punches. If any bout deserved two losers it was this.
But while Cleverly would have been around 14st 5 Bellew is reported to have put on 12-15 pound in the 24 hours after the weigh i so he would have been about 15st 7.
In boxing Dai you are free to put on as much weight as you like following the weigh-in....as Bellew is naturally a bigger man (I'm talking about his frame and the fighting weight he is comfortable at) he will have been at least a stone heavier than Cleverley come the opening bell. He is also an average boxer who's biggest "strength" is meant to be his punching power. In the last 3 rounds Cleverley was knackered and couldn't move from the ropes, Bellew hit him lots but imo never wobbled him. At this weight, Cruiser Weight, (and in his home city) Bellew had a big advantage but couldn't do the business against a blown up Light Heavyweight. That leads me to conclude that Bellew is a bag of ****e.
In the last 3 rounds he didn't drive Cleverly back by punches he just leant against him and pushed him against the ropes. Tedious but effective.
Whoever paid for that serves them right.. you dont need to pay for anything that is televised and more fool you who pays...
