The Swansea of a few years ago might have been able to pull something like that off. Now, not so sure. They might just have to take relegation on the chin and ready themselves to go again. At least they have spent their time at the top table investing in infrastructure with brand new training grounds and academy. They also seem to benefit from a good relationship with their council...
How **** must we have been last year for a Clement inspired Swansea to stay up over us? Dreadful manager and someone who when interviewed sounds as dull as ****. I can't imagine him being very inspirational.
December's not a good month to be Swansea manager... December 2015: Swansea sack Garry Monk December 2016: Swansea sack Bob Bradley December 2017: Swansea sack Paul Clement
I wonder where this leaves Sam Clucas, he has hardly inspired the Swan's faithful, and even under the guy that bought him not been getting a regular game?

Clucas did run around a lot, but not much in the way of end product...Does have a nice left peg, but so does Tom Cairney who'd I'd have back in a heartbeat.
As far as I know they just weren't playing him in the central midfield roll which was certainly his best position with us. It's not right that he just ran around a lot, he certainly was affective in the central position, less so wide left or at left back.
Watched him in the game against Everton when he came on, it was in midfield and in the short time he was on looked decent.
From what I remember of Sam he was solid, but didn't produce much.. Maybe I didn't appreciate him, and he was playing in a crap side. His chest, volley, net vs Watford was a great goal, but other than that and going close vs Sunderland, twice, I don't recall an end product...reckon he's bound to be back in the championship next season, not sure who with though.
Clucas is a Championship starter but doesn't have the ability to be a first choice PL midfielder. Handy to have as a squad player though in the top flight. That's what you get for £15m these days
I really rate Sam, he’s a Championship De Bruyne. Was very sorry to see him go, but wish he’d gone to a better team so he doesn’t get a double relegation on his cv.
