ah, the memories... so what's the hold up boys? must be money-related. its always money-related! didn't mick bottle the forest job this summer over money?
Even Harry has refused to rule out a role at Ipswich and has said he is now bored and would look elsewhere other than the championship. Get the hint Town!!!!! Ollie or Harry, either would be great. Hey warky have you read that article about Ollie in the star, shoots your clown theary to bits, still i guess you know more than someone that played under him!
Oh and budgies, ffs aint you got nothing better to do than sabotage our threads, surely you have a relative you could be bumming instead!
http://uea-notesfromnorfolk.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/some-little-facts-about-norwich.html Fact #8 is my favourite.... you really couldn't make it up (well, they could, and did!)
Can I please bring back the focus onto our managerial situation: My earlier Posts.... This article would indicate nothing is as cut and dry as we are led to believe. I still think there is some chopping and changing to happen before we officially have someone in place http://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/ipswich-...ce=twitterfeed In fact reports are that McCarthy's odds are on the slide and it is now a straight 2 horse race between McCarthy and Holloway. Apparently Mick has already been interviewed and Holloway being sounded out before any confirmation is made. I'm not sure if we have already interviewed Holloway or are planning too, it seems it's anyone's guess but it looks like McCarthy unless Holloway pulls off a binder in an interview (if it happens)
I don't think it's a done deal at all. If the terms (£1m plus £1m bonus) had been discussed you'd very quickly have pen to paper in readiness for some training before Saturday.
Utterly Ridiculous if this is the case.... We could not agree compensation, so will we end up with our main target?? http://www.greenun24.co.uk/ipswich-...k_mccarthy_remains_in_pole_position_1_1676636
Hang on a minute, is that really Norwich taking the piss about us banging on about history, yet their club decide to have a 50th anniversary party for losing a semi final? At least we bang on about stuff we actually won!
for those that hadn't read it:- IPSWICH Town have to go all out to lure Ian Holloway to Portman Road from Championship rivals Blackpool Thatâs the opinion of Ipswich-based Ronnie Mauge, the midfielder who flourished under Hollowayâs early career management at Bristol Rovers. Holloway has been linked with the vacant managerial positions at a quartet of Championship clubs â Blackburn, Burnley, Crystal Palace and Ipswich â and has refused to completely quash the speculation, claiming that his contract at Bloomfield Road is ânot fairâ. Blues chief executive Simon Clegg said last week that the club would not baulk at paying compensation for an in-work manager, with Hollowayâs contract reportedly including a buy-out clause believed to be around £400,000. Mauge â a former Trinidad and Tobago international who also worked under Neil Warnock at Plymouth â said: âI told people at Ipswich Town that Ollie was the man for the job when Jim Magilton left and I did the same when Roy Keane left. Just look at how his career has gone from strength to strength since then â they have to go all out to get him this time. âItâs pretty clear that Ipswich need a man-manager and believe me, as someone who played under him, there is no-one better than Ollie in that respect. He knows when to give his players a rocket and he knows when someone needs an arm around their shoulders. âHeâs worked superbly on small budgets throughout his career because his big strength is getting the best out of his players.â He continued: âI remember when we just missed out on the play-offs at Bristol Rovers. He sank to his knees and cried at the final whistle. His passion and enthusiasm is infectious. âDonât forget he has a great track record of bringing through some great young talent too. People like Jason Roberts, Bobby Zamora and Marcus Stewart, they all progressed under Ollie when I was working with him. Now heâs got kids like Tom Ince and Matt Phillips coming through at Blackpool.â Mick McCarthy remains the bookmakersâ favourites to replace Paul Jewell at the Championshipâs rock-bottom club, but reports that he has already signed a three-year deal appear to be premature.
Can i just say, what a fantastic 3 to choose from if it is between these 3. on one hand you have a bloke with a fantastic record in the championship and would sort out all of the prima donnas in the dressing room with one stare. on another, you have a bloke who done absolute wonders on a small budget playing attractive football and is one of the best man managers in the business or you have a bloke who was the nations call to be England manager only 6 months ago! you would never say that Norwich could ever be that lucky!
Take a look ,i would not want to pay for a history degree at the UEA http://uea-notesfromnorfolk.blogspot.co.uk/2012/01/some-little-facts-about-norwich.html STRETCHBOY SPOTTED IT fact #8
