I don't think the fans were the reason for the decision. I certainly hope not, anyway.
I did feel real disgust and shame when Puel and the squad got loudly booed during their lap of appreciation after the Stoke game though.
As a consequence, the sour and ****ty atmosphere at St Marys this season just adds to my disgust with our fans, who generally, in my opinion, can be relied upon to know **** all. That's part of the reason why I would love Pellegrino to prove them all wrong.
I think you are right with what you say. Our fans seem to get more bitter and twisted each season, to be fair with the comings and goings we have had to put up with its understandable that fan frustration is going to build. Having said that i do agree 100% with what you say and to turn up at the ground to vent these frustrations at the players rather than support is not acceptable. Like you say the stoke game should have been a celebration of a decent season and it turned into a place i didn't want to be.
