I feel bad if it is true...he's had a tough season and I think he should have been given another season. If it is mutual because its not working for either party....ok, I can accept that, but that should be made clear to the press....because we are going to get slated for this.
Ah, OK. It was just the rest of the message that suggested fatalism. Rumours that gain ground are still just rumours. Some gain ground because people just want them to. Doesn't make them true.
Difficult to be convinced by Silva, but then he did join an absolute ****show in Hull and barring a few good results they've been relegated comfortably, going down with a whimper. Important summer coming up as we all know.
Sorry TSS, I really don't get this. You want someone with a more 'winning CV' than someone who has won something at every club (bar Hull, where he won 6 of 8 home games)? Umm....who are you after here exactly!!!? I'd find him a very exciting appointment. Has won everywhere he's been, is young and intelligent, plays an exciting brand of football, he's charismatic etc etc....
The one thing I don't like about Silva is zonal marking at corners, but he's not the first (or last) to think that's the way forwards.
Is this something he has done throughout his career or just with Hull? It could be the case that he just used it at Hull due to the players he had at his disposal?
OK, I'll go along with you. I don't really care. He's not someone I'd totally object to. I'd rather have someone better known. Mind you, I'd rather have stability than change again. Puel's problems this season have largely not been of his making, and I'd rather not talk about him as if he's already out the door. I suppose that's my clearest thought. Puel In, I guess.
Ranieri would be a no from me. Take away the magnitude of the Leicester achievement and the football was not exactly inspiring and isn't that the biggest objection to Claude? Then there is the coo to displace him at Leicester. Too many warning signs. Silva has done a decent job, especially considering he had Niasse as a main striker and other individuals who didn't look premier league level. The praise given to him by the Hull players reminded me of when Poch first landed at st Mary's. We shall see...
Do you know anything about the takeover @Beefy ? Presumably any change in manager would be pointless without the say of new owners and board.
