Lallana got booked for arguing about the decision. If lallana had not been booked this wouldn't have come to light. A referee shouldn't book a player and then slur them.

Lalla used his boots to do the talking today, funnily enough he was doing that before he played for England and is doing it even better now. two digits rampant to any of his detractors.:emoticon-0137-clapp

Quite funny really that the said 'experts' commenting are two former pros of the teams who have benefitted from Clattenburg's dubious decisions against us this season!

Tiss etc on SS were somewhat gentler, though still rather questioning it's wisdom.

I've noticed how soft Tiss's voice goes if he's asked to say anything possibly critical of Saints. He's reluctant to get drawn if it isn't something positive about the club. Keeping his head down perhaps.

I think so, yes. He's become a lot more circumspect thankfully.

Rod Liddle, arch bellend of the Sunday Times (and has always been less than complimentary about Saints) has put his dreadful mark on the debate in his column today. I won't bother linking it....

I actually think all this will be forgotten within 2 weeks.

We'll have to take it on the chin & hope it blows over quickly. Self made problem, so no point moaning.

Agreed, though it doesn't detract from the fact Rod Liddle is a bell.

I hope the Club just let it ride, not because I think that they are in the wrong, but because the deck is loaded against them, you cannot fight City Hall as they say.

When Riley asked Clattenburg and his officials from Goodison Park about the Lallana incident, they all responded by corroborating the referee’s version of events.

This probably highlights the problem, he asked the wrong people, there must have been plenty of reliable witnesses that could have given evidence that disagreed with the Officials.

That's what I thought. Clarified a few things.

Blimey, did I just praise the Daily Mail..? ;)

I still am unsure that we come out particularly good from this. Do other clubs write regularly about a run of decisions? Is it a tactic in a Fergie manner?

I still say that NC does nothing without a reason. This looks like it could be an attempt to get referees to be a little more even-handed when we're involved in a game against the big boys. Like a lot of what Nicola does it might not be particularly admirable but if it works, he'll not care.

Nicola and/or Mauricio obviously feel we are not getting a fair crack of the whip and, even without deliberate bias from the refs, we are not getting enough of the 50:50 decisions. NC thought he would ask for assessment by the refs group since another club had an apology. Not sure he expected an apology, but wanted to draw their attention to it. The one thing NC won't stand is having Saints (and by association himself) dissed.
