Evra didn't make any accusations in that case.

I'd like to take this one on, we at Chelsea like to think he did. although not proved that Bethel or Evra made any racist comments The United back room staff Phelan & Harris had conflicting stories which prove nothing in reality but smack of an alibi gone wrong. On a personal note I think he was guilty of crying wolf and his behaviour with the french national team lead me to the conviction that he's at best unreliable and disingenuous.

I know you'd like the two incidents to be the same Paige but I'm afraid they're not.

Cue daily repetition of The Sad Tale of the Cruel Case of the Wronged Humanitarian Luis Suarez

Just for once put your LFC based obsession to bed NOF and stay on topic, the FA found that Chelsea had no case to answer thus the 'evidence' provided by Phelan was baseless, the clamber for Chelsea to be deducted points if Clatterburg is found to have no case to answer is unfair when Phelan's lies were never punishished in a similar manner by the FA.

That's because it was United Mossy <ok>

I've never said Chelsea should be deducted points so not sure where you're going with that one.

As for obsession, you have waded onto the Chelsea board to discuss a matter that took place in a game between Manchester United and Chelsea, bringing up an incident from several years ago between the same two clubs.

Are you lost Paige?

I posted about another similar accusation at Stamford Bridge with a relevant point to make.

You posted about Luis Suarez, why was that?, because you're obsessed about LFC and the Suarez case.

You sniffed out a post about United so you could refer to an incident from years ago and still managed to get your facts wrong. You seem to spend your days sniffing around the board looking for ways to have a pop at United. You should get back to fighting with your own fans, you're a master at it!

As for the Suarez case, I just find it comical that a group of people will morally corrupt themselves to defend a man who was convicted of using racist language.

I knew you'd spit your dummy out.<laugh>

My facts are that Phelan gave a statement saying he heard a racist remark by a Chelsea employee which wasn't believed by the FA and no charges were brought against the accused or the club and no punishment was dished out for making false accusations, yet your crowd are baying for points deductions etc against Chelsea even before it's 'proved' one way or the other that the Clattenburg accusation is true or not.

Btw if anyone cares to check are you doubting they'd find at least 60% of your posts are on the Liverpool board?, wise up NOF and stop tormenting yourself.<ok>

Paige, telling people they've thrown their toys out of the pram or taken the bait is your constant when you've run out of avenues to head down. It's lame fella. You've provided a link to a thread about proposed points deductions. Very good but I didn't post in that thread as I don't think a points deduction is the right punishment. Also lame fella!

As for tormenting myself by laughing at Liverpool? It's hardly a torment, it's great fun!

You started your hissyfit about Suarez, yet i never brought him into the equation, you're seeing things that don't exist NOF, i never said you posted on the linked thread did i?, i merely pointed out that Utd fans were demanding sanctions against Chelsea even before a ruling is made on the accusation against Clattenburg.

Laugh all you want lad, it's your right to.<ok>, but on this issue on the Chelsea board it would be nice if you show respect and comment on the OP's topic instead of bringing LFC into almost every post you make.

Hissyfit? Good one Paige. Maybe you should re-read what I posted. I was mocking your daily defence of a racist, something you really shouldn't be proud of. <ok>

No Page, the facts are that the FA ruled that it had no jurisdiction over the Chelsea groundsman as he was a non registered employee. Therefore they were unable to charge him with anything, regardless of what was believed. Chelsea were fined £25,000 for his conduct, but the FA has no rules to deal with actions by club employees who aren't registered parts of the playing staff or coaching / medical team.

Isn't it horrible how the "Beautiful game" has descended to this? The press , the fans and even the players in some cases seem to get as much satisfaction debating all the non-football related activity than what happens on the pitch! Lord above---if only we could turn the clock back 50 years!

There either was or wasn't a racist remark made by someone representing CFC through a work agency that day, if there was the guilty person should have been prosecuted and/or CFC punished, but the FA found that CFC had no case to answer after looking at Phelan's(and others)statements, no matter who Chelsea's opposition were i would still say that any call for a points deduction before/after the Clattenburg case is judged is wrong based on the previous case involving Utd.

Hmm, you drew the king of the fairies there Mossy<laugh>

Obviously needed to add the fictitious united twist on the matter because they could never be guilty of anything. Funny how it filters all the way through the club on its way to the sewers.

So was Swarbs wrong then?

ENOUGH, FOR CHRISTS SAKE !!!!!!!!!

No one knows what happened, what was said, not said , made up, misheard or anything else.
Stop playing Perry Mason, Judge Dread, 12 Angry men.
Here's what we do know.
An allegation has been recorded.
Referee has rejected claims.
FA will rule.
That's it. Not one person on this site has even the vaguest clue what the real situation is. No other manager, Player or organisation has an opinion that means anything whatsoever.
Chill out, and enjoy the game.

There could never have been a prosecution, as it wasn't a public order offence. It would have been an internal disciplinary matter for Chelsea to discipline their own employee had they believed he used racist language, nothing to do with the police or FA. I don't recall the FA deciding there was no case to answer for, but given their lack of authority to penalise the groundsman directly, and the fact he insisted he said "****ing idiot" rather than "****ing immigrant", they decided not to have a full investigation.

Regardless, the comparison to Clattenburg is a false one cos the FA has specific rules in place to protect referees from abuse and calls on their integrity. Do you think SAF would have received a five match touchline ban had he claimed the Chelsea groundsman "wasn't a fair groundsman"? The fact that Clattenburg has effectively been suspended before even being charged, whilst Terry, Suarez and the groundsman were fine to carry on playing and working right through their investigations.

Ultimately, as CP says, the FA will rule, but there is almost zero chance the ruling will be based on previous cases which didn't involve officials.

Take it on all you like mate, but you're wrong simple as.

Evra made no accusations of racism in the case of Bethell the groundsman - the end.
