On OS, Lallana is full of praise for Connolly. Now, he just has to keep fit!!

Unfortunately Fran it seems that for the last couple of seasons we just get him fit in time to perhaps discuss next years contract. he'll play in a few games at the end of one season, then the beginning of the next, then is out for most of the rest of the season, coming back just before contract discussions. Then off again in the cycle. I really like the fella, but not sure we can afford that kind of luxury. (I don't mean monetarily)

Stay with us HOADIE you can follow more than one team you know, no law to prevent that, and as for Connolly he was OK yesterday and the goal was predatory, however, judging from the Solent commentary he was having a running battle with his marker O'Connor was it?, in the second half and risked getting sent off by a Referee who is known for waving his cards, fortunately he kept them in his pocket and DC got away with it, but at this stage discipline is paramount, stupidity by getting sent off is not acceptable.

I wouldn't have said it was a running battle saintdon, but they did have a bit of push and shove at one time with their hands raised. I did fear (because of the ref's reputation) that they might be dealt with severely but he just had words with them. While we are on the subject of the ref's reputation, I thought he was generally ok yesterday (apart from the pen which was outside the box) and not as bad as some we have had this season.
As for Connolly, for me he is a better all round player than Barney. As much as I like Barney, DC has better control, positioning and finishing with a similar workrate, but he unfortunately has a major question over his fitness. Otherwise I think he would be in ahead of LB.

I do feel for Connolly. He said in an interview that when he can't play he feels useless (actually true if you think about it). We'll have to trust NA and NC to arrive at a decision. Perhaps medical evidence is that the problem is resolved? Low paying contract with pay as you play perhaps. He's earning his corn at the moment.

Yeah I am going to be staying with you on here.
