    Wasn't that the season we stayed up ? Thought we were doing real well until Christmas then started doing worse and then went into freefall after the Man City match.

    No, the original team talk was in the first season. Bullard pretending to be Phil Brown and doing it as a goal celebration was after we got the equaliser on our return to Eastlands in the relegation season. I'm trying to think now I've said that, did we take 4 points from Man City that season or was it Chelsea we beat and Man City we drew with at home in the space of a week?

    Oh yeah, didn't think of that. It was Man City I think. Sure we didn't beat Chelsea.

    4 points off Man City, a point at home to Chelsea (unlucky at the Bridge too), a point away at Spurs and spirited performances at home to Arsenal and Man United. The Chelsea and Man City games were back to back. Shame we didn't make it count against the likes of Blackburn, Wolves, West Ham and Burnley.
