He's an eternally ****e manager, but he had that mad unbeaten run with Hudds.

As far as I can recall, even during that, there were a number of Hudds' fans who couldn't stand him.

In other news, Paul Hurst is doing an amazing job at Shrewsbury given his budget and squad. They lost for the first time this season on Saturday away to Peterborough. They've conceded 10 goals all season. If we do lose Slutsky, he's a good option. Knows the relative area from his time at Grimsby.

True. Hurst is doing amazing job at a nothing club - well punching above.

Although, I do recall them being in Div 2 for a while with us in the 80s - and a tonne of people showed up for that game to get a voucher for the Liverpool cup match. 3-0.

Been to Gay Meadow a few times - had a certain character.

I thought it was horrible, the toilet was a brick wall that you pissed against and it flowed straight into a river. Memories.
