Have noticed Dicky has come back on here. Hello @Dick Plumb1 please advise our other 14.5 members why you are back here. We are all ears.
Don’t worry this is my last post on here. Where and when I post has got nothing to do with you. I don’t need to explain anything. I thought I was doing you a favour as this is like the Marie Celeste on here. Friendly forum, my arse.
Don't worry @Dick Plumb1 we all know you'll be signed up on the Wrexham forum again in a couple of weeks. You've made more 'last' posts here than the number of times Reams has threatened to quit ITTV. Perhaps you'd find some other members here a bit more friendly if you didn't throw false accusations around so lightly.
Forgive and forget ….. and move on ? Txting and social media can create conflict whereas when face to face it wouldn’t
I accept that this enmity isn't good for the forum. It goes against the grain of general friendly relations that we have here. Also it reflects poorly on my responsibility for moderating if I cannot move on from it. I'm happy to move on from every other matter over which @Dick Plumb1 and I don't see eye to eye. But I cannot go forward on friendly terms with somebody who continues to call me an anti-Semite. For the sake of a better feeling all round in this community I'll forget that specific issue as if it never happened - if Dick will withdraw his accusation. That's the best I can do.
As a bystander in this disagreement and probably one if the newest “members” out of the 14.5 I’ve always looked at Dick and yourself as being the grownups/gentlemen of group and the rest of us are just kids - be good to see you kiss and make up
I very much appreciate your support on this matter Elfs. The whole situation was instigated by IA, who is probably very pleased that his divisive trolling worked so well - even though he did not get what he originally wanted - which was a grovelling apology from me for an offence I had never committed, in order to reinforce his appearance of moral superiority. I'm not asking for an apology from DickPlumb though. Just a withdrawal of the accusation that I'm an anti-Semite. If that can happen, I'm sure we can all move on from this unpleasant episode and focus more on things that unite us - like lamenting how far our beloved Club has fallen in recent years
I withdraw my accusation calling you an anti semite. But I was very upset by your comments referencing the holocaust. I still am. But it is time to bury the hatchet. There seems to be a lot of comments on Charlton forums like ITTV about Wrexham. So I have decided to create a Wrexham free forum to enable Charlton fans to post on all things Charlton. https://charltonnotwrexham.freeforums.net/
Especially online conflict. BTW I was told the other day by a man from Whitstable that he pays £6 for a pint at his local. Shurely shome mishtake? It's £4:80 at my local in Chelsfield Village.
I did not mean to cause offence. As I tried to explain at the time, my reference was only intended as a reminder of the possible ultimate consequence when a person or people are systematically vilified, to the point where other people might think it is OK to hurt them. That is what Reams has been doing to Thomas Sandgaard for months. My comments were only a direct result of him posting that he wished somebody would teach Sandgaard or his son a lesson down a dark alley. Intolerance in any degree is unacceptable in my opinion. When we begin to get used to any person or group of people being despised, then regarded as less worthy of basic Human rights, we begin to travel the long path towards bigotry, and ultimately ethnic cleansing or even genocide. If my comments were seen as so disproportionate that they were offensive I do genuinely apologise. That was never my intent. Subject closed as far as I'm concerned. I hope we can both put this, and other past differences, behind us.
I pay £5.20 for a pint of Hurlimann in my local - some of the Whitstable pubs are set up for the day trippers from London and are expensive but I tend to avoid these pubs
