Has he posted on ITTV before then ? So much for Ivor wanting a wider range of views - clearly “Richard” wouldn’t like what he was seeing.
Ivor will probably regain the lead on Sunday after he views the comments from "Richard" to the TRUST.
Thanks for asking, Stan. We have had some questionable owners over the years but as long as they provide the means to support the team, that's all I have ever cared about. Their money is all that matters. The fact I have not supported Rick's mission to sabotage our club does not mean I am 'Pro' the owner, especially now both have shown they don't care about anything but their own agendas. Rick is just noise but Roland can have a significant impact. Let me be clear, if he does not have the club's best interests at heart - I want him gone. **This effort from Williamson last night shows that he is still hot on the heels of the front runners**
Reading between the lines, it would seem that the chances of getting a takeover in January are diminishing by the day. That will be “the fans fault” as well. The Apologists might well get their wish - an extra helping of Duchatelet as owner.
I think you may be right. I would imagine that any new owners would want sufficent time for player recruitment in the transfer window. If we get to Feb 1st with the Belgian (saggy?)prick still here I think it's safe to say he will be here till the end of the season.
If Duchatelet is staying until at least the end of the season, I can’t wait to see the Club’s pitch for early season ticket renewals in 18/19 “Promotion is the aim next season” ...err ...nope “Help us keep our best players at Charlton” .... err
"Come to the Valley and watch the potential Championship players of the future before we sell them all"
By then the value of the club will have gone down (because of the debt and weakened playing squad) and Roland's asking price will have gone up (because of the debt). It's Roland's own updated version of Catch 22.
In which case, as you say, the club is not really for sale, taking into account Roland's pig-headed nature and his need to save face (not do failure).
It’s like putting a turd in the shop window at Harrods and asking £1,000 for it. The turd is not really for sale.
If Duchatelet really wants £45-55m then the entire sale process is a sham. Relegation next season will be more likely than promotion. Robinson will be off in the summer if another Club makes him an offer, then we will get Vinegar or Um Bongo, or another total unknown. Time for more protests after the summer, even if the numbers are down because of crippling apathy. RD is never going to get his money back.
Some people say that Administration (most of the debt is owed to RD so not an option) would be worse than where we are now.... but I would be pleased with Administration rather than the current situation.
By definition, administration must be worse than any other scenario other than being closed down permanently. It's worth remembering that a Football Club (like any business) should pay it's bills to other companies and people who have worked hard to supply it with goods or services. If Administration means that suppliers go unpaid that is very unfair on them. Small businesses could go to the wall themselves over unpaid invoices. I'm no expert on these things, but I feel that administration should not be seen as a medium/long term 'fix' option. No disrespect intended AHLL. Not suggesting you would not care about small firms or individuals a Club might owe money to.
