The chorus to City's on fire is definitely doable as a crowd. Oh the City's on fire with a burning desire The Tigers are roaring and destiny's calling 'Cos now, is the time Yeah the City's on fire We're going higher and higher There's no turning back 'cos you're amber and black til you die.i i i Repeat Could even start with the aitch you double ell see aye tee why...
When I first saw This City's on Fire, I was immediately concerned it was gonna be a ****e cover of that overplayed Kings of Leon song. But it wasn't and it sounds awesome.
I'm all for the fun and tackiness of a Cup Final song, that's the point of it. But I'm not exaggerating when I say that this is the worst thing I've ever heard, and is actually unlistenable. Is it actually a song? It sounds like random bits chucked together.
Eddie is never slow to grab the chance of publicity and a few quid. I'm surprised he didn't mention Tribfest. I hated the original one and this is even ****ing worse.
Nowhere near as classy as The City's on Fire but annoyingly catchy in the chorus. The lyrics of the verses are ****. I do think the tune is one that could lend itself to the terraces though.
i dont like the verses to the City on Fire song , they are a bit preachy and actually sounds a bit like Jimmy Savilles Jim'll Fix it theme tune . The Elephant one is marginally better but at least it doesnt sound like its taking itself seriously , the name checking is a bit of a mouthful though .
Yeah the little **** is. He should be shot several times in the ankles then in the knees until he learns not to wear them, or Liverpool just **** up the league & everyone laughing at him. And the main guy still sounds like Guilleme!
For the tone deaf amongst you, the song is now available for download for 79p(it is for charity)... https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/wembleyphant/id871864687?i=871864733
