So, what happens now? Will Hudson get more games or will the board move for someone else? My fear is that Steve Bruce will probably be sacked shortly and he's just the type our board will like. Or perhaps they'll wait a couple of days for Bilic to become available Nice guy that he is, I can't see Hudson doing anything better than Morison and as Morison wasn't good enough for the board, why would they stick with him. Nothing is very clear at the moment. Any insights?
Too early yet Clingo to decide. I still think if he has a reasonable month he’ll be given till the end of the season but City can’t make the mistake again of giving him a contract based on results over a short spell.
The managers job is to win games, if you do not win games you will be sacked so it relies on a very simple equation. Another good pointer is the position of the club in the table if you are near the bottom you are going, if you are near the top you are staying. Unfortunately for Hudson he is already on thin ice, if we do not win on Tuesday that is 1 point from 6, then the game next Saturday is the last chance saloon. Win on Tuesday and he buys a little time, so he has to win.
Still think he’ll be given this month or at least to the WC break. His first 2 games are against top 6 teams and IMO 2 draws would be good results.
An interesting philosophy though a little simplistic. However, I'm not suggesting that you're not reflecting the philosophy of our board. It seems to me that we're developing something close to being a paradox in as much as our short termism is actually our long term philosophy. Given our record thus far, I don't think it's the best of philosophies and it's quite expensive too.
Well Hudson surprised me with the team selection Saturday, seemed about right, just a matter of the players getting back into the way they were playing in the first few games coupled with the scoring ability seen in the first half against the 'Boro, simples!! Just don't revert to Nelson or Whyte
This board including Tan has produced 2 promotions and a championship winning team you don`t get much better than that. As far as any manager is concerned if they can`t produce results get rid of them, this is not a charity for managers. As for Hudson he did a good job in his first game, look to inspire the team from the touchline than shout at individuals and refrained from punching the other manager. I am not sure how 2 draws from 3 games and a total of 2 points from 9 can be called reasonable, I can think of a few other words to describe that pathetic return.
So if as is highly possible Blackburn win and we fail to beat Wigan, again highly possible, he should be replaced?
If Leicester win tonight, there could be anther contender in the frame. That Olympiacos bloke has already sacked Corberan after just 5 games when they were sitting 5th in the Greek Super League.
