From what I have been told, and I'm the first to admit my information isn't as good as last season (when quite honestly it was bang accurate whatever some on here think), it is SB's preferred formation and he told the squad in Portugal that it is something he will be trying over the course of pre-season.
The prospect of 3 at the back scares me especially without Hobbs, I have no faith in Cooper and only a little more in McShane
Cooper will be fine so long as he's not paired with two other midgets at the back or left to organise the defence like he was when he was playing with Bradley. A 532 (**** off calling it 352 when the wide players are going to be Rosenior and Dawson/Dudgeon who are primarily defenders) is also more likely to be the chosen formation of a manager who's only got 1 winger in the squad and doesn't seem to be signing any yet.
Was he not kind of using it last night due to Dawson and Rosie being injured? Although there were times when Dudge was a full back but other times he was essentially a winger.
I have no idea, it's just I had heard last week about him wanting to try 3 at the back and from what people said who were there it looked like we were playing that system. I think Rosie/Dudge could be used as wingbacks, and I guess it would suit Elmohamady (sp.) should we sign him, but them what happens to Rosie. Lots of questions to ask and be answered before the season starts.
I would think Sb is being quite canny employing a different system. If he had kept the same system it would have been too comfortable for the players. He has now made them adapt and think, so he will be learning more about them and what they can do.
Rosenior can play at left-back, he played there often for Fulham. Not sure if it was a scout, or just some bloke who thought he was being cool in his dugout jacket, but did anyone see the bloke in the blue Chelsea dugout coat? It had the initials 'JN' printed opposite the club badge. He was middle-aged and had a lass with him, who was at least 15-20 years younger than he was.
There's nobody on the staff list on the Chelsea site with those initials, and they seem to list everybody.
Sorry no, I actually meant their left. So you can blame McShane. Bruce didn't look good to me over the two games, but that might be a partly pre-conceived opinion because so many Leeds fans say he was ****. Jakupovic didn't have a lot to do at Ferriby, but I noticed his kicking was pretty poor and it wasn't much better today when he was warming Oxley up.
I just watch the highlights of the Ferriby game on Tiger player, and Carney seem to have a good game, I know it was only highlights, not enough time yet to watch the full game, but he made some good telling passes, and good use of the ball.
It is 10p a day so £36.50 for the year, it could be better, but it has been good the last week, interviews in Portugal, plus training highlights, as well as you get highlights of all games plus the full match as well. For me up here it is well worth it.
I'm going to get it. The coverage of City in the news is pretty minimal, and the forums tend to be up to the minute when something happens. Seems like the stuff on Tigers Player doesn't get seen anywhere else.
I wouldn't rush into it. Like you say, the news is on the forums quickly enough. I used to have it, but the only good stuff (ie stuff worth paying for) on it was the live commentary and match highlights that I couldn't get up here any other way. Since you can get a stream of the commentaries live for free, the only thing now would be the match highlights and the full video of matches that goes on on a Monday (I think it's Monday). Are you going to be that bothered about watching a game in full when you've known the result for 2 days?
It's a bit late for that now Ricardo...I've signed up! Just spent a good hour and a half or so watching the pre-season videos. Found it, on the whole, quite entertaining. Steve Bruce, rather tongue-in-cheek, saying "let's have a rip-roaring night in Winterton" amused me. It's a good price and I think, and the little interviews and bits and bobs you get seem quite good. So yeah, I'm subscribed now...
