You usually follow the ball better on TV than when you are at a match. Admittedly you don't see all of the movement but When I'm at a match I get excited when we attack and it all becomes a blur! I still haven't watched the Arsenal match on Sky yet but I'm sure I will have a better understanding of the game from a 60 minute program than when I was at the match. At the match I even missed the second goal because I was still in a queue for food.
The comments were mine, I'm a season ticket holder and go to quite a few away games a season too. Apart from the Middlesborough Cup match, I've been to the last half a dozen consecutive league games and stand by what I said. I'm not saying that Sagbo hasn't got some qualities but I don't think he has those necessary to play as a lone striker. To be fair to SB, he hasn't got a great deal of choice at the moment in that department, as we have no one who can play that role and none of the pairings when we've played two together have really worked either. Hence, he is looking at bringing two new strikers into the club! I agree about Sagbo's ball to Koren versus Fulham and he is good at holding the ball when it's played down the wing but I can't think of any occasions where he receives the ball into feet in the middle of the park, holds off the defender and then brings someone else into play. As for his heading, how many times does McGregor play the ball right to him and he barely gets off the floor, no wonder the ball keeps coming back. Again you could argue we shouldn't be playing those kind of balls forward unless there's no alternative, when we know we haven't got a hope of winning the header but I can't forgive the fact that half the time he doesn't even jump.
An average game with few chances. We did ok for most part but sadly for us Chelsea had that extra quality that won the game. Hazard (for all his diving) was the difference, imo. No real damage done to us overall. Still 10th.
