bit scrappy but what the heck that's dame nellies intention.. nice move giving tommo a shout ....heee heee heee.. but it had to done nothing to lose... but hey ho they did now what was that vera lynn song wounded bluebirds soaring home over the muddy severn estuary ......
I'm glad we made your weekend wiz........ Well done lads, you made the most of our problems and took all 3 points today..... Let's see if we can return the favour in February.
Problems? Think we'e got a fair share of them at the moment with players out. But hey if you won' to blame it on your problems mate. One think I was glad off was that it was a open but tense game. Both teams used their pace.
I don't deny we both had problems going into today's game - both without influential players for various reasons. I realise you know full well about yours, but when you consider we had first choicers Gunnarson, Zohore and Bennett all out through injury and then a guy sent off (his own fault) before the hour was up, then those problems stack up against you. You won and we lost - nothing changes that.
Bit of a scrappy game, very nervy at the end and sat back to much, but hey ho a wins a win, have to say though that Brownhill and Callum O'Dowda are getting better and better every week, class
It's minus 20C here in Alberta but the result has warmed my heart immensely and the nonsense over Wright has vanished in to the mist with a valuable 3 points. It will be interesting to see where the controversy ends because I just can't see why it has been so blown out of proportion. Back to B.C on Tuesday where it's slightly warmer hopefully.
Thankfully we were able to overcome our own problems - despite our numerous injuries/suspensions, we were able to field a strong side. I'm also glad that the contentious equaliser didn't end up being decisive, as that could've resulted in a lot of squabbling. A good win all round - also good to see LJ come out on top against Warnock. I found it interesting how in the build up, Warnock said that he doesn't tell his players to calm down for a derby, but play off of the atmosphere - whilst I agree with that largely, it seems Bogle channelled/interpreted that wrong & got himself sent off. Fortune favours the brave, but this time Warnock lost out.
Very nervy game - especially the last 10 mins - we shouldn’t be letting a 10-man side double up on our defenders in our own half. Still, a win is a win and it’s made sweet because it’s a Derby and sweeter because it’s Warnock - despite the fact I like and respect him a lot it’s great to put one over him!!!!!
Great result although suspensions starting to mount up. I guess Pack will get a two game ban for the Cardiff red card
Just looked at the Champ scores at 3.30pm - both Villa and Derby in 5th and 6th losing 0-2 at home. That can't be bad for both of us.
It's a league where anyone can beat anyone on their day. It's looking more & more like Wolves will secure one of the top 2 spots, but there's a great opportunity for half a dozen sides to grab that other one, including both of us.
Indeed - just looked at the HT scores and Sheff Utd in 4th are losing at home as well - whatdyaknow - funny old game innit.
Total class today, best team won. Cardiff do look good though. Wembley playoff final that would be interesting. O’Dowda was class today. Fielding frightens me every time Baker what a player. We are good for a top six finish. Onwards and upwards.
