Team news Josh Bowler is a doubt with a heel injury, Martin Samuelsen is unlikely to feature. De Wijs, Elder and Pennington all a week to 10 days away. Norbert Balogh is getting nearer to a first team return. More on injuries That is why we have got a good squad. We have seven or eight players out but we are okay. Kamil is good, it was good to get him on the pitch. Jon Toral is coming on well, he is probably three or four weeks away and Kevin Stewart is a bit further than that. On Wilks I thought he did well, it is been tough because he has been training with the under-23s at Barnsley. A little bit of rustiness but he showed what he can do. On McKenzie Very impressed and that is how quickly it can happen. You can see how quickly he can come into the team, he showed confidence with his play early and he built on it. It is now down to him to keep up those performances and he will stay in the team. I bought Pennington in not to play right-back but as it happens, he has done well there. If McKenzie starts tomorrow, we hope it is another good performance from him. On Chelsea performance I thought against Chelsea, we were in control in the second half, I really enjoyed watching us play in the second half. It is important that you look back on the games to see where we can improve. Home form We are not getting too worried or too flustered about it, we are calm and composed about what we have to do. Like the Chelsea game, so how calm we can be, see how good we can be. We have had some really good performances at home in recent weeks and we will see if we can do it again. On Huddersfield They have recruited well and it will be a difficult. We just have to focus on us. Milinkovic and Henriksen latest It’s one of them, it is no secret, we are trying to get them new clubs. We are getting closer, I hope both leave by Friday because we want them to play football, they need to for their careers. McCann on January I think we have had a really good window, we are really pleased, they will make us a lot stronger. You can see the strength in our squad. You saw us compete against one of the top four teams of the Premier League with seven or eight out injured.
Unfortunately a lot of injuries at the moment, regarding tomorrows game I just hope we are right up for this one because sometimes after a big build up, big crowd ect to suddenly go back to an half full stadium then mentally you have got to get back up there. I'm sure though Terry will get them prepared for a bigger game than the one we have just played. I went away to Huddersfield were we got beat 3.0 so need to be better and it would be nice to get back to winning ways at home we're we have falted lately.
Hull City’s Yorkshire derby against Huddersfield Town at the KCOM Stadium tomorrow night will not be shown on Sky Sports. Throughout this season, midweek matches in the Championship have been made available for fans to watch on Sky Sports’ red button. However, City’s clash at home to Danny Cowley’s side will not be broadcasted in the United Kingdom or in the Republic of Ireland. This match was supposed to take place on Saturday, however, the Tigers’ progression in to the FA Cup’s fourth round meant that the match was re-arranged to tomorrow night. In most cases, midweek matches would be available for fans to watch on the red button, but because this match did not take place on its originally scheduled date it is up to the home club’s discretion as to whether the game will be shown on Sky Sports or not. City have decided against streaming the game on television in the hope that the sell-out crowd from the weekend’s defeat to Chelsea can lead to improved home attendances in the league.
Looks like McKenzie could keep his place. Well deserved after such an impressive performance against Chelsea.
1. Huddersfield aren't Chelsea 2. Its a school night 3. Did your mum ever tell you 'you know what thought did!!!'...
I wonder will we ever get to see McLoughlin in action. Interesting read this...seems to be well grounded and chomping at the bit to get a chance. https://www.the42.ie/sean-mcloughlin-hull-ireland-4973589-Jan2020
£33. Far too much. Yep, I know people can get it cheaper but it's simply too much to expect many to suddenly return 2 I know went Saturday, half thought about tomorrow but no chance at those prices.
That red button is a decent move , but most people have them boxes now anyway so don’t think will make much difference really .
