I would have fancied us for the draw until they scored. We have 2 players in the pitch capable of unlocking a defence and scoring a goal against arguably the most resilient defence in the league. We might get lucky with a set piece or second ball but its damage limitation now at least until we get some more attacking talent on the pitch.
I don't think Bruce has done his homework on Southampton. They play a high defensive line and compress the play into a smaller area and pressure the ball from the front. Flooded midfield should have helped alleviate this by overcrowding.
