Ta. Best team won today. Your lads are a credit to the league. Keep your heads up City fans- there's nowt wrong with losing to the Saints away.
Credit to Bruce and your players...after that first half it would have been easy to give up, but there's no lack of commitment in your side, and they created opportunities to get back into it. Good luck over the remainder of the year.
that can be taken 2 ways................... either you're sincere or very patronizing dunno which. face it fellas - we're just an unpopular team to play for. if we finish in top half of table, it shouldn't be too difficult in attracting players.
Bollocks. He's been **** for us. Don't like to have a go at any City player but when I saw him warming up I though "Oh, ****." He offers nothing, how many times did he touch the ball when he came on? 4 times? And lost it on those 2 occasions. At least with Gedo you think he might nick a goal for you. He leads the line by standing there like a ****ing statue doing nothing. Look at Sagbo, running both lines, stretching the defence and hey, wait a second, he can even score a bloody goal! Who'd expect that from a striker.
The former. As a newly-promoted team it's a given that there will be games where you're up against it...Saints certainly had their fair share where everything went wrong for a half or a game (or a week, or a month). When Palace ships a goal or two, they give up; Fulham now appears to give up a day in advance. Hull doesn't, and it'll keep you safe.
God, reading these comments is depressing. Bruce, Elmo, Davies, Koren, Graham, etc etc are all **** and useless are they? To be fair we are bottom of the league...wait, we're not? Well done PLT for having the patience to correct all you ****ers.
What struck me about the first half was that Southampton seemed to have 3 chances and scored 3 goals. Somedays thats how it goes. Other days you can have your backs to the wall and the other team have chance after chance and not be able to put it in the net. Not sure why SB put DG on but did not do much when he came on. Sagbos goal was very well taken. We missed Aluko who could have help take the pressure off with action at the Southampton end.
Hard luck today chaps, thought your second half performance was a credit to yourselves, most teams especially newly promoted ones would have folded and tried to keep the score down, but you really stuck it to us and made us work for every ball when we were looking to coast to victory. The second half was probably the most any team has disrupted us in open play this season. I think that fight more than anything will be what will have you comfortably avoid relegation this season providing you can keep it up. All the best for until we see you at the KC!
You take the rough with the smooth. I doubt people are questioning Bruce & the lads, they're just disappointed with the sluggish nature of the first half.
